Vintage Design Tinplate Toys at the Powerhouse Museum
Toys at the turn of the century consisted of much simpler toy designs. They utilized tin and mechanical winding mechanisms to provide children with visual stimulus. These tin plate toys at the Powerhouse museum in Castle Hill are classic examples of designs which were very popular and are now sort after collector items.
Toys on display at the museum include on an Ansett model.

Japan Trip: Spring 2017 | Vlog #8 | Iga Ueno Castle & Takeda Castle Ruins
Welcome to the eighth episode of my Japan Trip 2017 vlog series.
This episode Itchy and Rodier visit Iga Ueno Castle, Itchy also spots a real Ninja in the area. The following day, they climb the mountain where the Takeda Castle Ruins reside in Asago, Hyōgo prefecture and admire the scenery whilst being the only visitors there. The next day, they look at the fully bloomed Cherry Blossoms in Osaka. This vlog also contains their last day in Osaka before heading to Hiroshima.
Rodier's Weeb level has once again risen...
We were in Japan from 30th March 2017 - 4th May 2017. Expect plenty of videos! If you ever wish to visit Japan, I highly recommend getting a Japan Rail Pass. With this Rodier and I were able to travel via JR Trains & Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to a great amount of places throughout Japan as many times as we wanted with no extra cost.

Wetheriggs Tour - Beehive Kiln
The Beehive Kiln is one of the oldest parts of Wetheriggs dating back to 1860. This video gives you a brief look at the kiln and some of the pottery once made at Wetheriggs.
Before becoming an animal rescue centre, Wetheriggs was a well established pottery site. Many of the original features including the kiln, the engine room and a lot of the machinery is still on the site all in their original state and most is on show to the public.

Christmas tinplate toy train
Hallmark sold these tinplate train cars one per year. Once I had collected them all, I mounted the cars on HO scale trucks, motorized the locomotive, added couplers and made them into a working electric train. The track was originally made to go around the tree. I have since filled it in with scenery and made it into a table top layout.
