Deer Lake, Sasquatch Provincial Park, Kent, B.C., Canada by RSamson Aerial drone
This is just under an hour from my house.
A friend bought a new bike so for his first ride we went to Sasquatch Park on the other side of Harrison Hot Springs.
Very clear water. Campgrounds, playground, boating, fishing, etc.
I put a little motorcycle footage at the end for my buddy.
A Big Foot Encounter Story Sasquatch Provincial Park Harrison Hot Springs
I want to tell you a story of Bigfoot. At Sasquatch Provincial Park, my wife and I had and encounter with this hairy monster that to this day still brings chills to our skin. Harrison Hot Springs is the bustling tourist town in the summer, but in the winter this area gets really quiet.
In these parts, everyone has a Bigfoot story to tell, and because of ours a few years ago, I haven't been back to this park alone since, until today.
The new moon has just passed so there is very little light to lift the shadows from the forest around us. It's dark and rainy and it seems like there's only one other camper in the park this weekend.

Hicks Lake, Sasquatch Provincial Park, Kent, B.C., Canada by RSamson. Aerial drone
This is around 1 hour from my house.
Hicks Lake offers fishing, boating, swimming, camping, hiking, scuba diving, horseback trails, climbing/rappelling, caving, hunting and winter recreation.
Don't know why last video kept going out of focus; new drone.
Not much aerial to see due to smoke from B.C. wildfires.
Sasquatch Hunting At Sasquatch Provincial Park Canada
July 2013 Sasquatch Provincial Park, Deer Lake Camp Ground, BC Canada
In 1995, it was reported that Bigfoot prints were found on a trail behind campsite #12. As I ventured up this trail to investigate, the bush became very dense indicating that this trail was not well used. I searched elsewhere and found the main trail off campsite #9 which led near the trail that goes behind campsite #12.
My dog and I continued along the main trail and came across a small stream where I observed that something had knocked down a path of skunk cabbage that lead towards the stream. After exploring further down the trail, I went back to our campsite.
After our first night, I awoke around 4:30 a.m. to a very loud chorus to what sounded like hundreds of birds singing. I put my ear plugs in and went back to sleep. My wife woke me up at 6:10 a.m. because she heard an odd noise that was repetitive. She said she heard a noise that was something like a screaming, howling sound. The noise was every 5 to 7 seconds and it had the exact same length of howl which was about 2 seconds long. (She said she knows what bears, coyotes, moose, deer, etc. sound like but could not identify this odd sound.) She heard it for a total of 30 times and on the 20nd 'howl', there was a similar response that sounded quite further away. It had a lower octave and it was only half as long a howl as the other. It then went silent for about 1 minute or two then first howl continued for about 8 more. She considered that perhaps someone was playing a hoax but realized that not only was the sound was very difficult to duplicate, to replicate it 30 times would certainly damage ones vocal chords.
After discussing about what happened that morning, she told me that there just 'might' be something out there. I was a bit surprised to hear that because I did not know she was a non-believer.
I went for another hike along the same trail and seen that a tree was snapped about 6 feet up. It was not windy and the tree appeared to be healthy before it was knocked down. Since this had recently occurred, it did make me wonder what could have possibly caused this tree to snap at this particular height.
I never found any physical evidence indicating that a Sasquatch could be living in Sasquatch Provincial Park, but the odd sounds had my wife wondering if there really is something out there.
If you have any Sasquatch sightings in British Columbia, Canada I would love to hear about it and possibly do an investigation. Thank you, please subscribe.

BEAUTIFUL FISH LIVING IN 145° HOTSPRINGS?! Ideal Aquarium fish -At Sasquatch Provincial Park Canada
I recently took a trip to Canada in order to price out some dental work for my teeth. However my wife had scheduled a vacation months ago, and we decided to drive 3 hours up into the mountains of central British Columbia Canada. On this trip we found beautiful glacier filled lakes that stay year round at 40゚F. However at 1 particular lake, they have a series of Hot Springs with temperatures ranging from 200゚, boiling water, all the way to 80゚ of tolerable warm water. These Hot Springs cannot support plant life as they have an incredible extreme sulfur and iron mineral contents, however somehow one fish has manage to create a spawning ground up in the middle of the frigid Canadian mountains.
Although invasive these fish are quite beautiful, at 1st I thought it may be an African sicklied with its bright colors and tendency to create a nest that is decorated with stones and other freshwater invertebrate skeletons. However upon closer inspection it appears that these were pumpkin seed fish, and blue Gill sunfish that had somehow adapted to the incredible heat of these ponds and manage to skirt the few places with temperatures near 100゚F rather than a 150゚ I will also take you on a guided tour of these Hot Springs and the outflow into the Miami, Frasier, Harrison and the Chehalis river.
In the river we find an abundance of fish which may be suited for your home aquarium. These fish are surviving at 70 to 80゚ year round and include sticklebacks, Pike minnows, salmon, sunfish, invasive fish, Sturgeon as well as many other invasive fish that have climbed up the river systems from Southern British Columbia near the cities .
So take a look at the video and stick it through until the very end for some very cool footage. I think there are plenty of invertebrates, shrimp, shellfish and Crayfish that would do any aquarium Justice that are living in these waters. Also the pregnant sticklebacks look just like little puffer fish when they are pregnant and do not grow to a large size, so they would be perfect for a 20 gallon aquarium set up.
Keeping native fish to North America should be a far more common activity in my opinion due to the diversity and beautiful colors of some of these fish. There are color morphs in different sub species that have broken off even in invasive populations which can easily be caught, both helping the native ecosystem and simultaneously supplying the aqua scaping, monster fish keeping, and average fish hobbyists tank setups
how to catch native fish, how do you find free aquarium fish. what fish live in Canadian and American lakes and rivers? Harrison Hot Springs, lake harrison, where does the term sasquatch originate? did i find big foot? no, but i did find the origin of native american myths about sasquatch at Harrison Lake Provincial Wilderness.
Sunfish, including beautiful blue gills, and pumpkin seed fish have evolved incredibly in this extreme environment

Harrison Hot Springs travel guide: The weekend getaway
Read the blog post!
Welcome to Harrison Hot Springs. This quiet little resort town is perfect for enjoying time on the water, in the water, in the forest, or straight up relaxing.
Harrison Hot Springs is especially convenient for Vancouverities. It’s only an hour and a half from the city, and you get the relaxing, island vibe without ever having to take a ferry.
Our journey begins right here where I’m staying, at the Harrison Hot springs resort. There’s not a whole lot of places to stay in town - and I gotta say, if you’re coming here, this looks like THE place to be in town. With the option of lakeside views and entrance to the famed hot springs included in the price of your stay, it makes for a pretty sweet getaway.
I also learned once we were there that being on their mailing list can score you a really good deal. It sounds like they only email them out about 3 or 4 times a year, but prices are great and can include perks like a free breakfast. So maybe I’ll get in on this next time - now that I know about it!
NOTE: The main hotel building has no air conditioning. You can stay in the East or West towers for air conditioned rooms.
The resort has 5 pools which are fed from the spring's source. The pools have varying temperatures.
The Coast Salish peoples had known about the springs for years. They thought the water had supernatural or spiritual powers. Non-native people only stumbled across the springs hundreds of years after their existence was known by the Coast Salish.
Legend has it that a boat full of gold rush miners capsized during a winter storm. Instead of plunging into cold water, they pleasantly found warm water! Harrison Hot Springs became a destination for those looking to relax - and cure a whole bunch of maladies, from paralysis to diabetes. These waters may be restorative, but expecting this is a bit ambitious!
Food: One note before you do get into town - grocery options are limited, so stop to shop at Aggasiz before getting here.
Hick Lake Loop - 6 KM trail
Hicks Lake itself is beautiful. The trail, though, is a bit odd. About half of trail has been turned into a gravel road, thanks to the hydro company. We even found a park ranger to ask if there was another trail we were missing, but nope - we were on it!
The other half around the lake is a more typical trail. It's an easy hike for the most part - but there are about 10 or so spots which are pretty dodgy. We're talking broken bridges, slippery mud flats with no stable footing across it, that kinda thing. If that doesn't sound good to you, maybe just enjoy the beaches.
There few beaches on this lake which have spectacular scenery. Some are the large ones are easily accessible, and there's a few great spots off the trail as well.
The lake is in Sasquatch Provincial Park, and you can even go camping and fishing here. They stock the lake each year with about 1000 rainbow trout, and you’re free to fish providing you’ve got a fishing license - which you can easily apply for online.
We didn’t need to stay here for the night, but we did enjoy a cinnamon bun which we brought with us from Chuck and Kitty’s Country Cafe - where we came across Chuck himself! Cinnamon buns may not be traditional hiking food, but I think I could start a trend!
For dinner, got one of the best seats in the whole town! Well, at least as close to the ocean as you could get. We got a delicious dinner the Hungry Chef Eatery and took it to the picnic tables out at Rendall Park at the far end of the village. A perfect way to watch the sun set before heading back to hot spring pools.
Whippoorwill Point
This morning we took the Whippoorwill Point and Sand Cove beach trail, which conveniently starts right by the resort. As you head to the start of the trail, you’ll also walk past the source of the spring and the 145degree Fareinheight water. You can’t get inside, but we did see some people soaking in the relaxing, yet distinctly sulphurous-smelling, mineral water mixed with lake water in a small stream beside it.
