Trek Start Tungnath To Gopeshwar Himalayas
Start of trek from Tungnath to Gopeshwar which is the longer route than the commonly used short 4 km from Chopta to Tungnath. Tungnath is located at an altitude of 3,680 m (12,073 ft).
Trek Chopta To Tungnath -
Other than being a religious destination, Tungnath is also a well known trekking destination. The valley between Chopta and Tunganath has wooded hills with rich alpine meadows and agricultural fields.
Literal meaning of Tunganath is Lord of the peaks. Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is one of the five and the highest Panch Kedar temples located in the mountain range of Tunganath in Rudraprayag district.
Tungnath is at the top of the ridge dividing the waters of the Mandakini river (from Kedarnath) from those of the Alaknanda river (from Badrinath). The Tungnath peak on this ridge is the source of three springs, which form the Akashkamini river.
Steep climb further up to Chandrashila peak is 2 km more -
Ukhimath in Garhwal Himalaya, Uttarakhand
Ukhimath is a pilgrimage site in Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand, India. It is at an elevation of 1311 metres and at a distance of 41 km from Rudraprayag. During the winters, the idols from Kedarnath temple, and Madhyamaheshwar are brought to Ukhimath and worshipped there for six months.Ukhimath can be used as center destination for visiting different places located nearby, i.e. Madhmaheshwar (Second kedar), Tungnath ji (Third kedar) and Deoria Tal(natural fresh water lake) and many other picturesque places. Wedding of Usha (Daughter of Vanasur) and Anirudh (Grandson of Lord Krishna) was solemnized here. By name of Usha this place was named as Ushamath, now known as Ukhimath. King Mandhata penances Lord Shiva here. During winter the Utsav Doli of Lord Kedarnath is brought from Kedarnath to this place. Winter puja of Lord Kedarnath and year round puja of Lord Omkareshwar is performed here. This temple is situated at Ukhimath which is at a distance of 41 km from Rudraprayag.
Omkareshwar temple at Ukhimath features superbly crafted and carefully maintained icon of Lord Shiva. According to folklore, Usha, daughter of Banasur had lived here once, thus giving Ukhimath its name. In fact, Ukhimath is dotted with temples dedicated to Usha, Shiva, Parvati, Aniruddha and Mandhata, including one with the image of Mahadev with five heads - similar to the one in Kedarnath.
An idol of Usha’s confidante, Chitralekha, also exists. And among the several copper plates discovered, two relate to land endowments for the Kedarnath temple made by the king of Nepal in 1797 A.D. and by the mother of an official of the court of Nepal in 1891 A.D.

Rudranath (Gopinath) Temple - Uttarakhand
Gopeshwar appears to have been major temple site located about 10km. away from Chamoli on the way to Ukhimath. The presence of some twenty-one amalasaraka of different sizes found within the compound of the main temple suggesting the existence of many more temple at the site while now only a few temple survived. The main temple locally known as Gopinath/Rudranath is dedicated to Siva, the object of worship being a svayambhu-linga. It is built in Nagara style with a Latina sikhara. Triratha on plan and elevation its sikhara is adorned with chaitya motif all over, hence termed as jala sikhara in architectural canons. Some of these chaitya motifs are adorned with bhadramukhas. The chandrasala of its tall sukanasa shows Siva in his Nataraja form. Stylistically, this temple has close similarity with the Mrityunjaya temple, Jageshwar, both in terms of plan and elevation as well as ornamentation and assignable to eighth century AD, The mandapa of the main temple is a later addition. Besides, there are three miniature shrines, one of which is of valabhi style dateable to tenth century AD. saraswati mandir at saraswati river near bhimpul
The Saraswati River starts from an incredibly narrow tunnel kind of natural structure and also the bridge over it's called as Bhim Pul. Mythically, Bhagirathi is believed to be the real source of the river. The valley stretches beyond, resulting in the significant altitude lake of Satopanth. It is well known for its salubrious climate and natural beauty.
Encouraging using machines along with bullock drawn and hand operated implements. The bridge has a length of 450 m that's free from just about any pylon within the river. My mother, due to her age, needed help whilst walking. She excelled in this area.
Further, natural calamities can likewise affect crops. This temple forms an important attraction for tens of thousands of tourists annually. Kolhapur city can be found in Maharashtra (South), India. This lovely city was set up within the calendar year 1841, It is by far the very best site I've witnessed within the course of a 1,500 miles trek within the Himalayas.
Rains are a normal feature inside this region right now of the full year. Rice cultivation is available in each of the states of India. Saheliyon Ki Bari is an important garden along with a popular tourist place.
Gopeshwar is becoming an important attraction for those tourists. These places ought to be left so less the aid of contemporary transport. Various places of the trek refer to their own names and lives. Among the most attractive treks.
After the tourist reaches Yamunotri, there's an exceptional touch of nature along with the spirituality. The physical origin of the river is at Gaumukh, which is actually more dangerous and several adventurous and pious folks try to go to the place and provide prayers. Kolhapur possesses historical and mythological importance. Yamunotri has a fantastic religious significance plus a dip within the waters of the river cleanses the sins of the person.
The entire town is believed to be sacred and it is stated that meditation here contributes to salvation. Taking a dip in the confluence is supposed to hold great significance. It is stated the sage Narad meditated on this particular rock for many years. The entire place is thought to be sacred because it's believed that meditation at this place results in attainment of salvation.
At the Mana village there's a cave referred to as Vyasa gufa. This may happen because both hills flanking Badrinath will become joined. Mana is last village inside this valley. Encircled by a lovely valley, the 15mtrs.
These six rivers as well as their confluences are thought to be somewhat sacred for all Hindus. There are various other temples within the township. There are quite a few temples you can visit in Mana. Aside from these 3 popular temples within the place, there's also some lesser known temples present here.
There are fifteen more images which are also worshipped round the temple. There are really no temples at Gaumukh. Other crucial temples are in the Chowk region. A tiny temple is, in addition, at Vyas Gufa.
Rishikesh is essential not merely as pilgrimage centre closely connected with the Ramayana, but in addition as home for several significant centres of Hindu religious thought and spirituality, and as an extremely great Yoga Centre.
