Shizuoka 2011 - Sattatoge Mount Fuji 01 (静岡 薩た峠 富士山)

一キロほど歩いて登り、富士山を見ました。とても綺麗で日本一の山を前に心新たにしました。

旧清水市と旧由比町の境界部は、山が海へと突き出す地形となっており、古くは海岸線を波にさらわれぬよう駆け抜ける必要があった。このため、同様の状態であった新潟県・富山県境の親不知と並び称されたり、東海道の三大難所として語られてきた。このため山側に迂回コースとして造られたのが薩埵峠である。
峠からの富士山と駿河湾の景色は、東海道五十三次にも残されるほどの絶景であり、高速道路（東名）の宣伝材料など、さまざまな素材にも利用されている。

Japan 2019 | Day 3

This is the fourth in a series of travelogues about my cycling trip in Japan in the spring of 2019.

On that third day of my ride the sun was back, even though the temperatures stayed rather low. A beautiful day full of stunning views of Mount Fuji, fresh seafood in Shimizu, tea plantations near Shizuoka, and a beautiful sunset. All of that plus a perfect place to pitch my tent for the first time.

The intro and background music was recorded life at an event in Ise on March 27, 2019. Unfortunately both artist and title are unknown to me.

さった峠からの眺め（2010年12月29日１１時30分頃）

前日に雨が降ったので、富士山が綺麗に見えるだろうと、
さった峠に興津側から登りました。
ところがきょうは、あいにくの富士山だけ曇り空。
風もそんなに強くないのに、雪が舞ってしまっています。
