St. John's in Wilderness, Nainital
St. John's in Wilderness Church in nainital is one of the oldest churches in Northern India ,dedicated to John the Baptist .
The corner stone of the SJIW Church was laid on 13th October 1846 and the first divine service was held on 2nd April 1848.
The Church is set amongst the rich Deodar forests, and is built in the New Gothic style of architecture with Belgian stained glass windows.
Every year ,on18th September , a special memorial service is held in the Church ,in fond ansd sacred memory of the Europeans and Natives who died in the catastrophic landslide of 18th September 1880 ,which change the geography of the town.

Happy Easter from Sattal Christian Ashram!
My friend Beau and I had the opportunity to spend Easter at the Sattal Christian Ashram in India, and to perform some American Christian songs for the Easter Service there!
There were apparently 290 attendees, who, amazingly, showed up in candlelit, singing procession for lakeside mass at 5 A.M.
Our video of the performance didn't come out so well, so you'll see in the video that after a brief vision into the sermon, we felt compelled to sing the songs again at the lakeside chapel after everyone left.
It was such a beautiful experience to share with people from all over India and we felt so blessed to experience Indian's flavor of Christianity, here at this idyllic ashram.
