Set in Westmoreland Parish, Ferris Cross, is known for for having a beautiful beach located on the West coast of Jamaica. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. This beach is not just another beautiful natural attraction, it also has a private beach feel——a unique quailty in a touristy place like Jamaica. While Ferris Cross Beach may be a little bit out of the way, it offers unparalleled relaxation opportunities.
The Beach features a quiet expanse of sugar white sand leading up to calm topaz waters. Just beyond the beach is a grassy flat land.
Savanna-la-Mar (commonly known as Sav-la-Mar, or simply Sav) is the chief town and capital of Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica. A coastal town, it contains an 18th-century fort constructed for colonial defence against pirates in the Caribbean.
Savanna-la-Mar was originally established as a settlement in Spanish Jamaica. In 1780, the town was completely destroyed by a powerful hurricane known as Savanna-la-Mar hurricane. It was rebuilt, as the port was an important part of the Atlantic trade in sugar, slaves and other goods.

A look @ the old Port of Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland. This 18th century fort was built to protect the town from pirates. It also served as a port that supported the Atlantic Slave trade and continued as a major sugar port post Slavery. A remnant of the glory days of Jamaica.
