Art Exchange-Sayama Japan and Worthington Ohio
During the year 2012, PNC Bank and Honda US Worthington Area Art League and Worthington International Friendship Association funded a grant to allow artists from Worthington Ohio and Sayama Japan to exchange exhibits of their art. There was an exhibit of American art in the Citizens Building of Sayama Japan and an exhibit of Japanese art in the McConnell Art Center in Worthington Ohio

International Art Exchange United States and Japan
During 2012 and International Art Exchange occurred between the artists of Worthington, Ohio and Sayama, Japan
There were several exhibits. In Worthington the U. S. art was exhibited at the McConnell Art Center and then the Japanese art was exhibited there. In Sayama, Japan the U. S. art was exhibited first at the Sayama Citizens Building and then at Sayama City Hall
Kawagoe, Saitama ● 川越
► Kawagoe is also know as Koedo (Little Edo) as some of its streets - featured in the video - preserve the old castle town of the Edo period from the 16th. century.
It's a great example of old meets new in Japan, with plenty of architecture from that time to be seen - almost like being on a movie set of some samurai-movie, if it wasnt for the cars passing by, breaking the illusion. The area also hosts a wide range of Sashimi, Unagi and Soba restaurants, along with plenty of souvenir shops, selling traditional goods, such as green tea, chopsticks, knifes and yukatas. It's a brilliant place to take a walk - or by rickshaw (pulled taxi-cart) if you prefer. - Enjoy!

If you ever want to have a getaway at somewhere quiet and not busy in Japan, you should explore Nagasaki. It's a few hours away from the city and from all the main tourist spots but we've made great discoveries of this part of Japan.

Space World Sampler features various clips of non-coaster footage that was shot during my visit to Japan with the ECC in 2009. Video includes various oddities and displays in this (now sadly closed) theme park, some odd signs, and other general views around the park. The park closed at the end of 2017.

Nagasaki Highlight - Glover Garden Tour (4K)
The beautiful Glover Garden was the highlight of our Asia cruise stop in Nagasaki, Japan. Beautiful flowers, including cherry blossoms, tulips and Wisteria Floribunda, were abundant on the grounds of the former home of Thomas Glover. Glover Garden park is perched on a hill with a great view of the Nagasaki skyline and the cruise terminal where we walked from. We definitely recommend visiting this attraction when you are in Nagasaki! As a bonus, we some some clips of us getting back to the cruise terminal, and passing by other attractions such as Oura Cathedral & Inori-No-Oka Picture Book Museum.
This was from our 14 day Asia cruise in 2018 aboard the Majestic Princess cruise ship.

A suburban area of Tokyo rich in nature and with many tourist sites
Area Characteristics
Saitama is an inland prefecture with more than 7 million people. With an area of 3,797km2（1,466mile2）, it is bigger than the 179th-biggest nation of Samoa（2,842km2＝1,097mile2）. Access to the southern part of the prefecture which includes Omiya and Urawa is excellent as a bedroom community of Tokyo while the northern area which includes the city of Chichibu has plenty of nature.
Major Sites
Saitama Prefecture has Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park among many other sightseeing sites to enjoy nature including the downstream area of Nagatoro Gorge. Along with the landmarks of Saitama New Urban Center and Saitama Super Arena, there is a great variety of spots to see such as The Railway Museum, Bonsai Village and Kawagoe which has been dubbed “Little Edo”.
Food
Soka senbei (rice crackers), Kawagoe potato cakes and Kumagaya gokabo sweets are the 3 famous confections of Saitama. Furthermore, the prefecture is also famous as a treasure house for its comfort food including Kitamoto tomato curry which won a national curry contest, Hatogaya yakiudon (fried udon noodles) which has been recognized as one of the Top 5 yakiudon in Japan, and a form of karaage (deep-fried chicken) whose breading is made from Soka senbei. As well, there is Sayama tea which is among the Top 3 teas in the country and Coedo beer from Kawagoe which has even won acclaim abroad.
Transportation
There are 15 railways operated by JR and private corporations going from Tokyo into Saitama, so these are recommended over buses and cars. It’s customary to take the train from Tokyo Station for Omiya via Ueno or go through Ikebukuro to reach Kawagoe and Chichibu. Although Saitama has plenty of north-south lines, it has a dearth of east-west lines so if you are considering touring through the prefectural sightseeing spots, renting a car is convenient.
