Optical Glass House was constructed beside a busy road, so Hiroshi Nakamura and his studio NAP wanted to create a private oasis where residents could still make out the movements of people and traffic beyond the walls. The serene soundless scenery of the passing cars and trams imparts richness to life in the house, said the architect.

Prologue
December 1988 - Japan
The winter was chilly but electric in Kamurocho, the premier entertainment district in the east. Here, money buys luxury, and luxury is a way of life. With the nation's economy at the height of a boom, the people of Kamurocho believed that nothing they could wish for was out of reach. But there are some places where money only goes so far.
A vacant lot. A humble square of concrete and weeds, hardly the size of a parking space.
The Kamurocho 21st Century Revitalization Project is underway, and to own the land is to hold the power. Whoever can obtain the final piece in the puzzle, this tiny patch of ground, will have the leverage to change the balance of the city and spearhead a mammoth commercial property known as the Millennium Tower. Two men are flung into a conflict they do not yet comprehend. Those in power have every intent of burying them in this sea of change, unaware that they were setting events into motion that would give birth to legends.

With an air of sophistication and danger, his dashing figure pierces the dazzling lights. Money, fame, women -- Goro Majima has everything... except what he actually wants.
Majima is serving a sentence, and Sotenbori is his cage. He yearns to rejoin the Tojo Clan from which he was expelled, and one day, that opportunity presents itself. But the choice he must now make will have consequences that will reverberate through his entire life.

It is cherry blossom season. This is Inariyama Park in Saitama, not too far from Tokyo. It is a huge park and is a great place for a picnic. Look out for Totoro in a couple of the shots.

Hello everyone!
I hope you all enjoy the vlogs. I'm not sure how exciting they will be but I filmed it on my iPhone during my trip there anyway.
I plan on getting myself the Sony a5000 or above to log with soon as it's much better quality.

Anyways details are below for those that are interested in heading off to Japan any time soon or are planning on visiting in the near future:
- Return flights from Sydney to Japan on Japan Airlines = $1500 for us both. No stop over. Purchased on Trip dot com.
-First Airbnb in Tokyo for 4 nights was $350. Filter superhost and own place on the app for top choices.
-Pasmo card (like an Opal card) can be purchased at the airport and train stations through the machines there.
-JR Pass 7 days purchased here: (Highly do not recommend this unless travelling out of Tokyo many times. You cannot use this in the subways which is basically 60% of the trains there)
-YOU NEED the internet! One thing I'll mention in my next vlog is that I survived on Google maps and you need the internet so get yourself a wifi pocket or sim card as soon as you land! You won't be able to get around without it. I opted for the sim card after I left my first Airbnb.
I didn't include this in the clip as well but my hubby and I did travel to Tsuta just to get ourselves a ticket into Tokyos first Michelin starred restaurant called Japanese Soba Noodles. We arrived there at 11am and was too late! But we did manage to go back a week later at 5.30am to snatch ourselves a ticket. This restaurant hands out tickets in the morning which gives you a time to come back and dine there as its so popular it doesn't run like a normal restaurant. They only serve 70 bowls a day!!!
