Celebration at the Habitation at Port-Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada
I found this 16mm silent film in my father's home movie collection. It was filmed at the Habitation which is located on the north shore of the Annapolis Basin in Port-Royal, Nova Scotia. My father, John J Whitaker, is an American from Winter Park, FL and he married Dorothy Kathleen How of Granville Ferry, Nova Scotia. I recognize my mother and one of her brothers, James D. How. Hopefully you are able to add more names to faces in the film.
Enjoy!

Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia to Me
Welcome to Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia! One of the oldest permanent European settlements in Canada (c. 1605), the area is the cradle of Acadie and was also Nova Scotia's first capital before Halifax. We hope you enjoy your virtual visit to scenic L'Acadie along with the beautiful music by Nova Scotia's talented Cyril McPhee. More of Cyril's tunes are available at
Victoria beach Nova Scotia
Victoria beach is a Nova Scotian beach located just past Granville Ferry and Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia.
You can see Digby if you look across the water.
The beach is rocky, but you can still go for a walk.
Also there is a really cool fisherman's wharf and a couple of abandoned rail cars.
great spot to check out if you are in the area for the Wharf Rat Rally

Mill Cove Waterfall; Victoria Beach, Nova Scotia
Happened upon this unique waterfall. Park right after the road sign that says no exit. Mill Cove Creek flows right off the cliff face into the Bay of Fundy. Nice.
