the latest developments up close and connect with like-minded individuals who are also interested in the tiny house movement.
Event host, Titan Tiny Homes, will showcase a
diverse array of houses from various builders around the country. Participants will learn how tiny houses are unique and can be fully customized to the purchaser’s wants, needs, and requirements. Builders and designers will be on hand to answer questions.
This weekend tour will help would-be buyers to
find their own dream house and also possibly enjoy some great food while listening to speakers from around the tiny house movement. Live music should add a festive flair to the goings on throughout. Attendees are invited to bring along questions, ideas, and available themselves of the vast resources on hand
to plan their own ideal tiny house experience.
As a family-friendly event, children are invited alongside their parents to explore the different options open to attendees. With the advent of tiny houses, families have found it possible to reside in their tiny houses.
I've had the pleasure of attending many tiny
home shows all over the United States and really wanted to bring the first Tiny Home Show to Chicago because I know how special an event like this can be,”
said Titan Tiny Homes founder,
Bob Clarizio.
According to the website for the event, new details
will be added in the coming weeks prior to the show so attendees can plan their entire day around the educational and entertainment offerings. There will be keynote speakers who can address questions on a host of topics, live entertainment, and much more.
In honor of Mother's Day and all of the mothers
out there, admission will be free for all moms who are attending with their children under 3 years of age!
The event venue is located just 30 minutes from
Downtown Chicago at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium, 1999 Springinsguth Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60193
Over 20 Tiny Houses will be on display over the
3-day weekend. Each house has its own unique design that provides plenty of ideas and potential options for visitors to spark
design
ingenuity or, conversely, streamline the process
with an already-perfect choice.
To alleviate concerns about parking, patrons
can rest assured that with the Metra Rail Line only 940 feet from the front gates, transit in and out of the ballpark will be easy. Attendees opting to drive will have access to a nearby parking lot to ensure that anyone and everyone can get to where they
are going without a hassle.
The show for 2018 Chicago Tiny Homes is being
held on Friday, May 11th Through Sunday, May 13th, and the gates at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium open at 10:00 am and close at 8:00 pm daily. Tickets are available on the website for $10. For those who are considering downsizing, or those who have already begun,
this event will show them how it's done. Whether show attendees are already living in a tiny house or planning to move to one soon, they can anticipate learning all sorts of valuable tips.
Event exhibitors are planning to teach how the
tiny house lifestyle works, how to downsize, how others are doing it successfully, and what it takes to get started. With the growing popularity of tiny houses, attendees will be afforded a unique experience that they
are
likely to cherish while riding the wave of a new phenomenon.

Dirty Schindler RT Hydraulic Elevator - 2131 S Archer Ave in Chicago, IL
This one serves multiple properties. The first floor serves the Seafood Harbor Restaurant, the second floor serves the Phoenix Restaurant, and the third floor is the entrance to some private apartments. The indicator doesn't work so I ended up looking outside for almost the entire trip. The 2131 mark on the elevator door on the first floor is the building number just so you know.
What did I think of this? Not bad in terms of its operation, despite the big bump when it arrives at the first floor. The cab could be a little cleaner than this.
Got a request for an elevator/train ride in the Chicagoland area?
