Если жизнь Роберта Гласпера должна была быть представлена в одном предложении, более чем вероятно это звучало бы так: джазовый музыкант из земель кантри-музыки. Он выиграл премию Grammy за лучший R & B альбом и любит исполнять американскую классику от Майлза Дэвиса до Нирваны.
Он вырос в Хьюстоне и его музыкальное становление происходило под воздействием различных стилевых и жанровых направлений: его мама играла джаза, он пел госпел в церкви, позднее он открыл для себя жанр хип-хопа, сотрудничая с Kanye West, Mos Def и Q-Tip. На счету Гласпера есть и сольные проекты: как минимум девять альбомов, появившиеся в течение пятнадцати лет.
Большинство альбомов, выпущенных на лейбле Blue Note Records, сделаны из нержавеющей стали. В своей последней работе «ArtScience», которая была выпущена в конце 2016 года, Роберт Гласпер и его квартет сделали попытку связать воедино огромное наследие своих предшественников с современными приёмами, господствующими на джазовой сцене. С этим миксом, сделанным с хорошим вкусом, группа и приехала в концертный зал Palais Longchamp в Марселе в рамках фестиваля Jazz of the Five Continents.

AC/DC à Marseille : le seul concert en France du Rock or Bust Tour avec Axl Rose des guns 'n roses au chant
Les joueurs de l'OM n'ont pas su mettre le feu cette saison au stade Vélodrome mais AC/DC s'en est chargé ce vendredi soir devant 60.000 fans. Un concert hors norme. Ambiance assurée malgré l'absence du chanteur à la casquette Brian Johnson, remplacé par Axl Rose l'ex leader des Guns N' Roses.
Le mythique groupe australien de hard rock a choisi Marseille pour l'unique concert français de sa tournée mondiale. Quelque 60.000 spectateurs sont attendus pour applaudir le guitariste Angus Young, 61 ans, avec sa légendaire tenue d'écolier.
En revanche, le chanteur emblématique Brian Johson (qui risque de devenir sourd) sera remplacé par Axl Rose, le chanteur de Guns N 'Roses. Les fans qui l'ont vu à Lisbonne le 7 mai sont plutôt convaincus, mais certains sont quand même déçus et ont demandé le remboursement des billets.
Près de 450 techniciens ont été mobilisés pour ce méga-show. La scène mesure 37 mètres de long sur 21 mètres de large, avec quatre écrans géants ! Il y a aussi une avant-scène en lévitation pour le guitariste en bermuda Angus Young.
Le décor un peu carton pâte comprend des lames de métal, des cornes du diable, six canons sur For Those About To Rock, une poupée gonflable sur Whole Lotta Rosie, six canons et l'incontournable immense cloche sur Hells Bells. Le spectacle comprend aussi une douzaine d'effets pyrotechniques et le traditionnel feu d'artifice final
Pour améliorer l'acoustique du stade, plus de 6.000 mètres carrés de rideaux en velours absorbants ont été déployés : ils mesurent 680 mètres de long et 9 mètres de haut, ont coûté 80.000 euros. Quinze jours ont été nécessaires pour les installer.
La sécurité a bien sûr renforcée en raison de l'état d'urgence et du plan Vigipirate.
Il était fortement conseillé de prendre les transports en commun. Il fallait près de deux heures pour faire en voiture Aix-en-Provence - Marseille vendredi soir, en raison d'importants bouchons vers Marseille. La RTM prolongeait ses horaires de bus, métro et tramway : entre 1h30 et 2h du matin selon les lignes.
Cloué sur un fauteuil. Le mythique groupe de hard rock AC/DC s’est produit, vendredi soir, au stade Vélodrome de Marseille, l’unique date des rockeurs en France. Ils étaient accompagnés pour cette tournée par la voix haut perchée d’Axl Rose des Guns N' Roses, qui a dû passer le concert assis sur une chaise en raison d’une fracture au pied.
Le Californien de 54 ans, avec son habituel bandana sous un chapeau en cuir, remplace le chanteur historique d’AC/DC Brian Johnson, victime de problèmes d’audition. Or, Axl Rose connaît lui aussi des pépins physiques. A Marseille, il a pu entrer et sortir de scène en marchant, malgré sa fracture du pied.
