Scuba diving, snorkeling and sleeping under the stars off the Whitsundays in the Great Barrier Reef. We hopped aboard with Cruise Whitsundays to head to their Pontoon located in Hardy Reef. Unlike the other 150 people on board, a small group of us stayed on the pontoon overnight & enjoyed an amazing dinner, sunset & slept under the stars in our swags.

Is it worth scuba diving and snorkeling the beautiful Great Barrier Reef in Whitsundays, Australia near Cairns? We think so! Snorkeling and scuba diving in Australia is a lot of fun! We've heard that snorkeling and scuba diving in Cairns, Australia is amazing, and we've also heard it is worth it to go diving in the Great Barrier reef near the Whitsundays too. We went with the Whitsundays over Cairns, however, you be the judge, is it worth it?

In this segment we head out on a liveaboard dive trip to the Great Barrier Reef with Wings Diving Adventures
Leaving from Abel Point Marina, Wings offer 1 - 3 night sailing, diving and snorkeling adventures onboard their luxurious catamarans. Their boats can sleep up to 24 guests and al of your meals are included.
You will cruise the Coral Sea around the Whitsunday Islands, where they stop at the iconic Whitehaven Beach, and they also do adventures out to the Outer Great Barrier Reef where you can dive one of the wonders of the world.

Drone footage of Airlie Beach, Whitsunday islands and Whiteheaven Beach as well as under water footage. Airlie Beach is the entrance point to the Whitsunday islands and the Whiteheaven beach. You have to get on a boat form Airlie beach to get out to the islands.
I had been driving up the coast of Australia in my van, starting in Sydney and passing by the main cities (Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Glass house mountains, Rainbow beach, Carlos sandblow, agnes water, 1770, Tannum Sands and much more. I now decided to go out on a 2 day and 2 night trip to the Whitsunday Islands from Airlie Beach. I got some nice drone footage of the islands and also some underwater footage form snorkeling.)
Diving on Bait Reef, Whitsundays
13:00 - I caught up with team from Underwater Earth again in the Whitsundays. We headed out to Bait Reef, around two hours from Hamilton Island with H2O Dive and filmed the stunning underwater life there.

Australia : marvels under the sea - استراليا تحت البحر
I travelled from Cairns to Sydney in a motor-home, I stopped everyday in a different location on the east coast of Australia. Snorkeling and diving was my favourite activity, along with my Gopro I could film the great barrier reef beautiful corals, fish, turtles ... swimming here is a total breathtaking pleasure.
From Fitzroy Island to mission beach to Airlie beach going along the coast and discovering the marvelous natural sites of Queensland and New south wales.
I didn't include kangaroos and koalas in my video.. it's is just for aqua-adventures. I should do in a later one :) ;)

Ayr, Bowen, Lake Proserpine & Airlie Beach: S05 Queensland E10 Road Trip Lap of Australia
We head into the Whitsundays region, first stopping off in the Burdekin to see the local sugar cane industry in action. They are still one of the last places to burn their sugar cane in the world, with an abundance of water providing massive growth and thick sugar cane. We stayed at an amazing Farm Stay just out of Ayr, travelling from there through Bowen for a stop at Horseshoe Bay.
We got wind of a brand new free camp, heading to Lake Proserpine on it's first week of opening to the public. We camped right on the lake, with stunning views and surrounds.
From there we headed in to Airlie Beach, staying at the Adventure Whitsundays resort. We tackled 13 different waterslides and a massive resort pool, mini golf, the works!
