Snorkeling with Whale Sharks in Oslob Philippines
An unforgettable day, swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob, Philippines. Oslob is 2-3 hours south from Cebu City and can be reached by bus. We left Cebu at night time as we heard it's best to snorkel with the whale sharks in the early morning (6 AM).
Snorkeling with the whale sharks cost about PHP1000 (~USD22), almost every dive resort in Oslob offers the trip. Included is snorkel gear, a life vest (that nobody wore) and a lesson before on how to behave next to these giant animals.
It was an unforgettable experience getting so close (but don't touch!) to the gentle whale sharks, they are such beautiful creatures.

Diving with MILLIONS of Sardines in Moalboal (Cebu Philippines 2019)
Cebu Philippines in 2019 has so much to offer but we never thought there would be millions of sardines in Moalboal! There were so many sardines you felt like you were inside a building! It was by far our favorite free dive because of the TURTLES, WE LOVE TURTLES! It was so peaceful swimming through the endless stream of sardines, it felt like another world. This is a close second to Kawasan Falls. EPIC

Scuba Diving in Cebu, Philippines
Misong and I went to Cebu for vacation and went scuba diving for the first time. What an amazing experience. As soon as you dive into the water, you are immediately transported to another world. I have a newfound greater respect for the world underneath us.
MOALBOAL Sardines - SCUBA or SNORKEL? Cebu, Philippines (WeWillNomad)
Moalboal is known for its Sardines - enormous schools of sardines that are pretty much always there. They hang out around Panagsama Beach area, close to where the yellow pier juts out into the water. Although you can see the sardines at any time of the day, try to go early morning, just after sunrise if you want to beat most people to the water. All you need is snorkelling gear (snorkel, mask and preferably fins) which you can rent from the nearby shops which open at 6 am. It doesn’t matter what we say, nothing will prepare you for the sheer number of sardines that you will see! Lisa was even lucky enough to see a huge turtle swim by. This was by far one of the most fun shallow-water activities that we have done!
We did both a morning snorkel as well as a 'sardine run' scuba dive during the afternoon as we were told that the experience is different and well worth it. In this video, we show both activities and you can make up your own mind as to which was best!

Electric Mantis
Pescador, MOALBOAL Scuba Diving | CEBU, Philippines (WeWillNomad)
Moalboal is one of the best places to dive in the Philippines. This is for two reasons: firstly the reef that surrounds Moalboal allows for nice, easy and cheaper shore diving options with the opportunity to see massive sardine schools, turtles, electric clams and loads of really cool smaller sea life; secondly is the incredible little island of Pescador, just a few minutes away from Panagsama Beach by boat and which has a wall reef surrounding the entire island. We couldn’t get enough of the scuba diving at Pescador Island and even after 12 years of diving, we saw many new creatures during these dives. If you want to experience the Sardine Run from another perspective other than snorkelling, then do the Sardine Run shore dive (although we preferred the snorkelling experience). The shore diving conditions also often allow for night dives, just check with the dive shops.

LEARN TO SCUBA DIVE, Malapascua, Cebu, Philippines
Getting certified as a scuba diver has been on my list for many years. I finally got my certification through a SSI Diving School called Shark's Tail Dive Resort on Malapascua Island, Cebu, Philippines. The class includes downloading course materials that can be studied at home or the dive schoo, instruction in the pool and 4 dives in open water which was the sea for me.
Philippines Scuba Diving Cebu Malapascua 2019
My visit to the Philippines. 16 Days of scuba-diving-goodness. Cebu and Malapascua.
I am by no means a professional scuba-diving-videographer. Just a diver with a Gopro. So please cut me some slack when the material isn't on par with professional post-production titles =)
