Cayman Island Diving - Turtles, Stingray City, Sharks, Mermaid Statue
This video was taken in September 2010 all over Grand Cayman. A lot of this footage was taken during shore dives and a few boat dives. The reefs are in great condition and there was no shortage of amazing things to see. We saw stingrays and tarpon right under the dockside restaurant at the resort we stayed at. Amazing diving on Cayman!

Snorkeling Grand Cayman Rum Point
Instagram-
This video is taken with GoPro 3+. We were staying at 7-mile beach and decided to drive to Rum Point to snorkel for the day. We stopped along the way to see the blue iguanas. We first snorkeled along starfish point to see the giant starfish. After this we stopped at a beach at Rum point and asked if we could swim to the barrier reef. We were given a buoy with a flag that we swam with so that boats could see us. The current made swimming a bit more difficult. We swam about a half a mile in total, almost to the barrier reef and back. I also brought some squid to feed the fish and this made them swarm around us. We saw two eagle rays, some barracuda, a spiny lobster, lots of conch snails, and tons of colorful reef fish. The reef seemed very healthy. After snorkeling at many other spots in Grand Cayman Rum point was probably the best spot.
see link for maps of the snorkeling spots off of Rum Point.

Eden Rock Snorkeling Grand Cayman | Snorkel Video Guide & Review
Our video shows us snorkeling at Eden Rock in George Town Grand Cayman! This is a popular snorkel spot in the Cayman Islands. You do not need a boat to reach this location, and can enter the water from the shore.
This is a very safe area since there are other people around. Snorkeling can become dangerous if you are by yourself and you get into trouble, but this is in a public location.
You will see many tarpon here since nearby restaurants feed them in the evenings. Other fish include tangs, sergeant majors and jacks.

GRAND CAYMAN | Stingray City & Barrier Reef Snorkel
Tuesday, January 23, 2018 | Georgetown, Cayman Islands
Grand Cayman was my favorite excursion we did on this trip! Stingray city is a shallow sand bar that is about waist deep and filled with southern stingrays. It is AMAZING! The stingrays were so nice, so soft and a slithery feeling like a dolphin. If you know me you know I am a huge animal lover for all living creatures. So this was my favorite part of our whole trip, holding a stingray lol.
The barrier reef was a short boat ride to the middle of the ocean it seemed like. This was my first time snorkeling and I loved every second. It was definitely hard at first to control my breathing but I got the hang of it and by the end felt like a pro. What an amazing experience!

Snorkeling and Diving: The Cayman Islands
From the Global Village Travel Guide and DVD, Caribbean. Stock footage available from
Transcript:
The Cayman Islands, located just below Cuba, are the first choice for many Caribbean divers. The Caymans are little more than three coral reefs poking above the surface surrounded by more coral reefs, and their waters are filled with an abundance of marine life, from multi-colored fish to exotic coral formations...
To get acquainted with the sport, of scuba diving, beginners can take a one-day course which includes a dive, or they can take a five-day course to obtain full certification. But the mysteries of the sea are not hidden from non-divers. Snorkeling is another great way to explore the depths.

Stingray City and Barrier Reef Snorkel, George Town, Grand Cayman
Hit the inviting Cayman waters to experience two of the island’s best experiences—reefs and stingrays. Explore Coral Reef Gardens, the Barrier Reef, and an undersea world of tropical fish, aquatic plants, and other marine life. Keep your eyes peeled for Hector, a curious moray eel who loves to make appearances. Then, cruise to Stingray City for one of the ocean's most unique phenomena—a group of Southern Stingrays that love nothing more than to swim, play and be hand fed by you. GC88

Cayman Island Snorkeling-7 Mile Beach 2017
Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 15
We took a cruise on the Carnival Vista in January 2017. The cruise stopped at Jamaica, Grand Cayman Island, and Cozumel Mexico. Due to rough weather many excursions were cancelled. We decided to go to the 7 Mile Beach. Which is about a 10 minute drive from the cruise port. This beach does not have many reefs so I wouldn't recommend it for snorkeling. However, some of our great finds today were; Honeycomb Cowfish, a white sand crab or ghost crab, blue angelfish, juvenile, and a Blue Tang.

GRAND CAYMAN SeaTrek AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN
We were on the beautiful Carnival Vista in Jan./Feb. 2019. Our second port of call was Georgetown, Grand Cayman. This port was by far our favorite! There is so much to do there and the water was the most beautiful water i've ever seen! We had to try this excursion when we heard about it.
You are taken by tender boat to the island where you are greeted by your group name. The guide takes us on a short walk to the small boat that takes us out to a larger boat where everything is setup for the excursion. We had the helmets put on us and we could immediately go down to a depth of 40 ft where you were met with a white sandy bottom, coral, and some of the most beautiful tropical fish! The water was a bit chilly that day, but none of us cared. We were there for an adventure of a lifetime.
There was a guide waiting for us at the bottom and he got the fish to eat from our hands and helped us explore the ocean bed. It was truly an amazing experience that I would recommend anyone partake in. As our guide put it, If you can walk and breathe, you can do this excursion.
