Snorkeling around Koh Chang - Thailand
Here is a video that I took when I went for a day trip for snorkeling around Koh Chang. If you plan to go to Thailand, consider visiting this island as well! Koh Chang is actually a great place for relaxing, swimming, partying, snorkeling etc. so it is not even necessary to go to the islands in the south of Thailand like Koh Tau, Koh Samui or Koh Phangan. ;)

This was a 5 night trip on the amazing island, Koh Kood, it still remains our favourite out of all the Thai islands. The perfect time to visit is the middle of November, which is when the video was filmed. It's a great time as there are not many tourists on the island, and the waterfalls are still full as the rainy season has not long ended. Also the sea is crystal clear, and calm making it perfect for Kayaking. We did a lot of Kayaking, it was a great way to discover hidden beaches, and the sunsets whilst floating on the water were unbelievable.
Koh Kood is quite a large Island, its actually Thailand's fourth largest. If you are wondering how long to spend there, our recommendation would be at least 3 nights, but longer if you want to fully appreciate the island. You could quite easy spend a week or more and not get bored, It's absolute paradise, you will never want to leave.

Snorkeling Four Islands Tour, Koh Chang, Thailand
Come aboard the Sattra dive boat as we set out on a snorkeling/swimming tour of four islands: Koh Yak Lek, Koh Yak Yai, Koh Rang, and Koh Wai in the beautiful National Park of Koh Chang (Thailand). We see rabbit fish, giant clams, giant barrel sponges, various wrasses, clownfish in symbiosis with anemone, parrot fish, and damsels just to name a few. After our first island snorkeling, the crew cooks up a tasty Thai buffet lunch included in the trip cost of 500 BHT along with water/tea/coffee.
Mask/snorkel rental is also included as well as a late snack served as we make our way back to port after our final island tour. A fantastic full day trip. The main reason I came to Koh Chang and I was not disappointed.
Thanks to Danny for the snorkeling recommendation.

Underwater footage shot with GoPro Hero 7 --- HTMS Chang Wreck - Formally known as the USS Lincoln County, HTMS Chang is Thailand’s longest wreck at 117 metres / 384 feet and sits at 30 metres / 100 feet underwater. After more than 50 years’ service in the Royal Thai Navy, it was sunk in 2012 to create an artificial reef. It’s a great site with lots to explore including cabins, briefing rooms and the main holding area. The wreck is also home to a wide variety of marine life including barracuda, octopus, batfish, groupers and a range of interesting critters.
