Freediving Yonaguni Pyramid | Aliens or Lost Civilization? | Yonaguni Monument
Yonaguni Monument. Pyramid? Lost City? Lost Civilization? Natural? Work of Aliens? The Island of Yonaguni is full of mystery. Lets go underwater to freedivie the Yonaguni Monument.
I first heard about the Yonaguni monument about 6 months back, it fascinated me, and i dreamed to be able to freedive it one day. It's on one of the most remote islands in Japan. There is only a small town, there is almost no people in the street, and only a few shops selling basic items..
From where I am based in Taiwan, its very difficult to get to yonaguni, without going going in a big circle of connecting flights and boat trips. However, by chance, I heard of a one off charter flight being offered, which had some seats open for sale - however I already had other plans for a diving trip to Green Island.... but after some thought, I cancelled my Green Island trip, and reserved a seat on the charter flight. I had to bear all the cancellation costs for my Green Island trip, so it wasn't an easy choice - but this charter flight was an almost once in a life time opportunity so I took it. Despite having just started at a new company, I managed to get some days off work..
Before and during the trip I had cold and fever, which made diving almost impossible - however I managed to do it. To make matters worse, the dive company only gave us 40 mins time at the dive site, which means I had to rush to see the whole monument - no time for breathing-up or relaxing... long swims followed by diving immediately.
Due to the short time at the dive site, the following day we paid a charter boat to give us 1 hour on the dive site. To my horror, right after jumping into the water, my GoPro dive housing flooded with water, and the camera was dead within 30 seconds of my getting in the water... the result is I have no videos from my 2nd dive.
This video is dedicated to all my subscribes on youtube for being so supportive over the past year - without all the positive feedback I have gotten from my subscribes I might not have made the effort to go to Yonaguni and film this dive.
Whether the Yonaguni monument was made by aliens, a lost civilization or it is a natural phenomenon, I just don't know. Nobody knows. Watch the video and decide for yourselves.
This video was also not cheap to produce - It costed me somewhere in between $2000-$3000 US dollars to make - so your support by liking my videos and subscribing is much appreciated.

Qiandao Lake, Diving into sunken Lion City (Liquid Image HD320)
Qiandao Lake (千島湖, lake of a thousand islands) is a man-made lake located in Chun'an County, Zhejiang, China, formed since the completion of the Xinanjiang hydroelectric station. There are 1,078 large islands in the lake and a few thousand smaller ones. It covers an area of 573 km² and has a storage capacity of 17.8 km³. The total area of the islands in the lake is about 86 km².
At the foot of the Wu Shi mountain (Five Lion Mountain) lays an ancient city known as Shi Cheng (Lions City), built in Dong Han period (25 - 200), first was setup as county in 208, it was named Lion City because of the Five Lion Mountain that sits just behind the city.
Flooded in September 1959 for the Xin Anjiang Dam project, the city remains undisturbed from the surface at a depth of 26-40m,

Freediving Insane Caves (The Pinnacle - Freedive Atlantic)
This month Freediver HD celebrates 1 year on youtube! This video goes out all all my subscribers - you guys are awesome - I've made such great friends through youtube - such a nice bunch of people, I am so privileged to get to interact with you guys - I would not still be doing this if it wasn't for you guys constantly pushing me to deliver more.
This video focuses on a very underrated dive spot - Mushroom Pinnacle - a spot which is seldom dived as it lies out in open water, somewhere in the middle of 2 much more famous dive spots - Justin's Caves and Strawberry rocks. Due to this spot being relatively unknown and under-dived - I chose this as the location for my new video - it's about time somebody thoroughly freedived this spot.
This video represents my best effort to document the pinnacle - given the weather conditions, timing and dive buddies I had available - It covers all the main features of the pinnacle that I know about.
There are many types of freedivers, and I respect them all. For me personally, freediving is not about depth or pool lengths - It's about people managing themselves, alone, in unknown environments, with limited oxygen, under great pressure, in high stress situations. For me, this is what creates the mystery around freediving, and makes the sport so awe-inspiring.

Yonaguni is an island in Southern Japan. The city and temple complex found some 200 feet below the ocean’s surface there. the city has no name that we know of and its was older than any Japanese civilization. It was lost to history for thousands of years until it was discovered in 1995, by a sport diver. The current and water conditions are challenging in the spot that the Yonaguni underwater ruins were found. It’s a difficult dive, but those who

In the 11th century, Dunwich was one of the largest towns in England. However, a succession of storms in the 13th and 14th centuries eroded the coastline. The town is now almost entirely underwater. Heavy storms hit the coast for decades. Locals best her at Lee built deep fence ditches to try to hold back the waters and save the city from drowning, but they couldn’t stop the harsh sea from setting up shop in town. And literally, there goes the neighborhood!

Olous, near the northern coast of Crete, was a port town of high significance back in the first thousand years before Christ. They had their own currency and the people there lived relatively opulent lives because of the wealth that flowed through the port. It now sits beneath the shallow blue waters off the Cretan north shore. Olous was called the city of fountains. Ship Cheng in the Zhejieng province of China is a beautiful underwater ancient spectacle that means lion city. And it’s beneath the lion mountains from the Han dynasty circa 200 B.E. With lions everywhere, it’s this area had a thing for lions. But sadly, there’s no mystery why this beautiful underwater antiquity exists. It was purposefully flooded to create a hydroelectric dam in 1959, classic China!
It’s Answer time! According to NASA when the massive ice sheets covering north America during the ice age melted that water ran into the ocean and raised the sea level 393 feet. That’s enough water to put submerge the entire statue of liberty

A legend that Indians call “The Golden City”, used to be a thriving place of beauty that belonged to Krishna, a Hindu Todd. It was only a legend for thousands of years until it was discovered in the Gulf of Cambay, 120 feet deep. This was accomplished with equipment like sonar scanning tools and a lucky guess. They probed an area that used to be above land before the last ice age, and made the discovery of a lifetime. It’s a 5-mile-long & 2-mile-wide mother with
