Recent scuba diving video from Hawaii. Two Maui shore dives (Olowalu and Makena Landing). Boat dives locations - Lanai (1st Cathedral, 2nd Cathedral, Fish Rock), Molokini crater. I used GoPro 3 Black Edition with and without red filter plus Sola 500 video light. All in HD.
I had 6 (time limited) boat dives (not so cool for the price) and 2 shore dives (very cool) I was diving with two different companies. Boat dives with Lahaina Divers. Amazingly most of my video made on shore dives thanks to Mike from Maui Diving Scuba Center. Best on the island if you looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable dive instructor. Super cool time underwater.

Molokini Crater back wall dives, Maui
Molokini crater is a semi-circular wall off Makena in Maui. Inside the crater is a shallow reef - the back wall is a long drop exposed to the Pacific where more pelagic species are found.
We did two dives off the back wall with Maui Dreams Dive Company. We'd previously had two fabulous diving days with them, but unfortunately our guides on this day weren't very good. The boat was split fairly evenly between newer air divers and more experienced divers on Nitrox, but instead of putting the advanced divers together, they split us up. This meant those of us diving Nitrox were forced to dive an air profile to stay with the group, and we didn't get to spend much time at depth with the pelagics which are the whole point of diving the wall. What we saw was pretty, but not what I had hoped for when I booked the dives. After the amazing experience I had diving the walls at Lehua off Kaua'i, this was a bit disappointing.

Swimming With Seaturtles | Makena Landing | Maui Hawaii
One of the highlights of this years trip to Maui was swimming with Sea Turtles. On our first trip to Maui 20 years ago we did see a couple off of Molokini but the were a bit farther away we didn't get pictures or videos. Nearly as soon as we got in we saw the first one and in the 45 mins of our snorkel adventure we saw 5 turtles, 2 of which were swimming very close with us. We ended the day with a MaiTai at Life's a Beach and then watched the sunset from the park in Kihei.
Our Channel’s main theme is “positivity” with focus on pausing to enjoy life’s moments and when possible “paying it forward” by using our time, money and resources to support a good cause. The content is generally focused on Travel, Dogs, Motorcycles and doing good for people, pets and our environment. We spend 9+ months per year traveling primarily in our 40ft Motorhome Toy-hauler with our 2 dogs and our 2 Harley’s, capturing interesting destinations, reviewing RV parks, Boon-docking locations, restaurants, products and hotels along the way.
