Diving with Scuba Weh Dive Centre, Iboih, Pulau Weh, Indonesia. Pulau Weh is located on the north tip of Sumatra, in the Aceh Region. The diving is quite diverse. The variety and quantity of marine life here is outstanding. The visibility here normally 15m-30m. Currents at most of the dive sites around the island makes Pulau Weh one of the challenging place for scuba diving. I used GoPro Hero4 with red filter and a video light. Drone videos by Alfin Jansen.

Scuba Diving Sabang, Pulau Weh; The Canyon
The Island of Pulau Weh is located in the Indian Ocean at the Northwestern end of Indonesia. It is of volcanic origin and covered in lush green tropical jungle. The main Town SABANG was once an important Dutch harbor and besides the underwoter world a volcanic crater, a waterfall and Japanese bunkers from second world war are a few attraction in the Island. Due to the proximity to the equator, the temperatures are steadily plasant and the condition allow DIVING at most sites all year round.
Sabang Pulau Weh Marine Park with its clear water, warm water temperatures and extraordinary biodiversity holds ideal conditions for unforgettable Diving experiences.
The dive sites with colorful Underwater landscapes, wreck and hydrothermal springs are very multifaceted. Due to the deep sea surrounding Pulau Weh, Sightings Sharks, eagle & manta rays, tuna visibility of more than 40 meters are possible. For photographers popular motives like ribbon eels, frogfish, ghost pipefish and nudibranches are also common.

Scuba diving in Pulau Weh, Indonesia (LW94)
Exactly as the title says. Weh is a gorgeous little island located of the northern coast of Sumatra. It is a popular spot for divers and it's reputation is well deserved. It's not known for a strong current but during these couple of days it was hit by some super strong waters. We actually had to cling on for dear life. Unfortunately I was able to catch that properly on camera but you will see the relief on the face of Miguel (my experienced guide); It's no exaggeration! Anyway, another spot well worth visiting, check it out over the course of the next couple of videos. There's also a great interview with Jimmy and his dad from Germany. Mum and dad have been all over Indonesia and now they're raising their boy with a wanderlust. Great stuff!

Our first dive trip to Sabang, Pulau Weh, Aceh Indonesia. Organised by the dive company and chickenfeet travel to this remote north end of Sumatra Indonesia Island. Travel from Singapore - Batam - Medan -Banda Aceh - Sabang. This area were affected by Tsunami in 2004.
Amazing friendly Iboih dive centre staff and easy to get to dive site from Iboih Beach. Most flight by Lion air. Lots of ferry, cars and planes travel.
Amazing sea and reef life. we saw a school of Giant Trivially.

An intense dive trip to the tip of Indonesia where we completed our PADI Advanced Open Water and somehow managed to squeeze in 12 dives in 4 days. Sadly a lot of the footage was unusable due to the wrong red filter for the GoPro and the rest was just too green to be included.

Pulau Weh or Weh Island is located in Indonesia. It's part of the Acheh province and the northern most tip of Sumatra .Definitely one of my favourite islands to visit as it offers spectacular dives and an island filled with beautiful landscapes.
