Found this nice trail on the back side of Coopers Creek WMA. Several water crossings. This was on the way out and started recording about halfway.

Sea Creek Falls
Sea Creek Falls is located in the Coopers Creek WMA in Fannin County Georgia. You can find exact directions at jjanthony.com/waterfalls/falls/seacreekfalls.html. This was an interesting yet difficult place to shoot video. At the base of the falls is a fair amount of tree debris to work around. To get to the Upper Falls requires a careful climb up very steep terrain.

Toccoa River Swinging Bridge - Suches Georgia - Benton MacKaye Trail
How to find the Toccoa River Swinging Bridge. If you are going to North Central Georgia, the Toccoa River Swinging Bridge should be on your list of places to go. The signage is a lot better now than in years past, but it can still be a trick. This video will assure some of the questions as to how to get there.
Blairsville, Suches, Blue Ridge, Elijay, Cherry Log, Dahlonega and other cities and towns in and around the Chattahoochee National Forest are close enough to include this stop in your day trips. Plan on being there about 2 hours from the time you pull off of Highway 60 to the time you get back. That is unless you are going to picnic out there, plenty of room for that.

Long Creek Falls@GA Blue Ridge Mountains
Long Creek Falls Trail is an almost 2 mile round trip trek that offers an easy-to-moderate climb along the combined Appalachian, Benton MacKaye and Duncan Ridge Trails to a beautiful waterfall that flows fully even in the middle of the summer. This video was shot in middle March with plenty of water.

Dicks Creek Falls, Georgia
Dicks Creek Falls is located in North Georgia in the Chestatee Widlife Management Area near the town of Cleveland. Drought this year (2009) has really reduced the flow but it is still a beautiful location. Look for the rock formation in the falls at 2:50 which looks like an indian's head. Shot with HPX170 and edited on Edius 5. Music Solnatt by Bjorn Lynne and used via license. Exact directions to the falls may be found at

Cochran Creek Falls | North Georgia
Cochran Creek Falls is located in the North Georgia Mountains. A couple miles east of Amicalola Falls. I recommend downloading the US Forest Service App CONF Trails it contains a very detailed map of the Chattahoochee National Forest. I used it to track my position as I hiked the trail. This waterfall is remote and very difficult to get too. This is not a Sunday Funday hike that you can complete with your mom..
Cochran Falls is the second tallest waterfall in Georgia with 600' of vertical drop. The trail is treacherous near the top where the main drop is located. The hike itself is around 2 miles from the first creek crossing. The trail head is unmarked and I had to use the app multiple times to make sure I was in the right location.
You will have to cross multiple creeks; the depth of the creeks vary from a couple of inches to 1.5' Near the bottom of the falls and the Pine Forest offers great camping spots; very flat and very little brush.
I rate the top of the climb a black diamond because you will have to use hand holds to climb portions of it, either using trees or rocks. I would advise you not to explore this portion of the trail by yourself. Climbing is one thing, descending is another beast.. You will be using the butt scoot method plenty of times while heading back down. Take your time and enjoy the adventure!
There is a trail that I did not explore that takes you to the top of the falls. Look right when you reach the rock face near the top of Cochran Falls. Please use extreme caution when climbing to the top.
