Whitsundsays Sea Kayaking
Quite afternoon on Cid Harbor. Lots of dolphins and turtles about.
KAYAKING THE WHITSUNDAY ISLANDS - Queensland, Australia
Slowly but surely we're starting to shed the label of being considered as 'travel wimps' afraid to try anything adventurous. In the past year we've gone sea kayaking in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam and around Kimitoon Island in Finland. When we noticed kayaking was a popular activity for those based nearby the Whitsunday Islands, we were thrilled to try it again for the third time. You'd almost think at this point we're kind of becoming experts at it ;) Blessed with gorgeous weather we really got to appreciate just how stunningly beautiful this part of Queensland, Australia really is when witnessed with your own two eyes. The following is our kayaking day adventure with Salty Dog.

It is amazing the kinds of new hobbies you can pick up while on the road.
Over the last year we've had the opportunity to try kayaking in both Vietnam and Finland.
When the opportunity came to try it in the Whitsundays with Salty Dog we jumped at the chance.
At times it was hard to concentrate on paddling given the spectacular scenery of the Whitsunday Islands.
During the outing we also got to spend a bit of time relaxing on an island with a pristine beach.
Overall, we'd recommend sea kayaking to just about anyone given that it is a safe and fun activity.
This is part of our Travel in Australia series. We're making a series of videos showcasing Australian culture, Australian arts, Australian foods, Australian religion and Australian people.

VACATION: Hamilton Island - Parasailing & Kayaking | JeannyTV
21st & 22nd December, 2016.
This is a vlog filled with first time experiences for both my friend and I. We didn’t waste a day laying around the beach and we sure as hell don’t regret anything.
Day 3 - The main activity was parasailing! The most calm and relaxing activity that we had done on the island. The only down side is that each ride didn’t last very long, I wouldn’t mind being in the air or dipping my feet in the water for half an hour long. It was an amazing experience overall and would definitely recommend it to anyone (even those afraid of heights)!
Stand up paddle board hire was up next on the agenda and man, oh man, was that an arm work out. The waters of Catseye beach was pretty calm but the littlest of waves would push us out of the preferred ‘play zone’. It was quite difficult moving the board with 2 people on it, but going to the deep end by myself was an accomplishment in itself. I didn’t bring my GoPro with me to the deep end because I didn’t want to risk it dropping like what you guys saw in the video.
We ended our night with a visit to One Tree Hill. If you’re catching the bus, make sure you read the timetable because this was our 3rd try getting to the place. The first night, we slightly forgot and missed the sunset, the second, we missed the bus. But it was well worth watching it on the 3rd. Winding down the day after all we’ve done, it was nice to sit on the rocking area with a picnic blanket taking full advantage of the perfect lighting.
Day 4 - Kayaking adventure with Dingy Hire. Even with a life jacket on, I felt a little bit self conscious kayaking in open waters. My fear of not being able to see anything below stems from horror movie trailers. We had an awesome instructor named May, and she was amazing! I’ve already explained why she’s a cool bean in the video, but if you manage to get her as your instructor for this little field trip, call yourself lucky!
Side note: Things not mentioned in the video was an Italian restaurant we ate at during day 3, it didn’t taste nice and the footages were crap. We also took a pilates class on day 4 before breakfast to kick start the day. Our original plan was to take a sunset yoga class but those were limited to customers staying at Qualia, so instead we went to the Sports Club.

Hamilton Island, Queensland, Australia - WANDERITAA
Wiss and I celebrate our anniversary in the most the beautiful island in Australia. We spend 24 hours stroll around the island. We do kayak, paddleboard, seaplane, and so many things. We stroll around the city with the golf buggy. We had so much fun. Escape from busy Sydney, We stay at Reef View Hotel. It just take us 5 minutes walk to the main beach. We flight with the seaplane to Whitehaven beach. It is amazing! it should be one your bucket list!
Few notes that everyone has to know before visiting this island:
1. Choose good accommodation that closes with the beach because they provide some great complimentary
2. You should hire the buggy to stroll around the island. This buggy will last for 4 hours so don't forget to charge it!
3. There are so many cockatoos in this island so be careful if you are putting your clothes or something else on your hotel balcony.
4. Make sure you have camera with you at all the time because this island offers so many beautiful views on every side of the island
5. Fly with seaplane, helicopter, or rafting in the sea to Whitehaven have to be on your list

Adventuring the Whitsunday Islands
This video retells the story of a journey into the Whitsunday Islands aboard Le Cochon Noir. The week was spent Kitesurfing, Windsurfing and Stand Up Paddle Boarding the beautiful blue waters and white beaches of the remote Archipelagos.
We discovered isolated uncrowded perfection and enjoyed many great moments on board Le Cochon Noir.
Special thanks to Roman, Isis and Rah for having us onboard the boat, it was a truly special journey.
Roman is touring his 76ft yacht Le Cochon Noir to many world class windy locations around the globe as we speak. If you're interested in taking a journey with him. Why not check out his website lcnv.com.au (under construction) or get in contact with him at ~ info@lcnv.com.au ~
