Diving at Perhentian Island in Malaysia.The Perhentians offer some great diving and excellent snorkeling. In addition to coral and fish, the Perhentians are home to sea turtles and many species of shark.

Dive log: Good weather, calm sea, no current, mild underwater surge, Poor Vis-Worst Vis, one buddy puke, Olympus tracker GG, biggest trigger fish, biggest Batfish, impressive seascape (Particularly T-3 dive point), impressive school of reef fish, ok-lah coral reef. Shark spotted during the worst Vis dive so far. Sea turtles, many shrimps, yellow tail barracudas, scorpion fish, Jelly, Eel, Gobi, whole family of pufferfish...No Napoleon humphead!

Open Water Diver Qualified! | Perhentian Kecil, Malaysia
We head to the Perhentian Islands, opting for the smaller one (Kecil) and I finish my Open Water Diver Qualification. Not much interesting things happened here to vlog - mainly diving and partying at night. We then head to Kuala Lumpur.

We didn't expect to dive 9 times during our week on Perhentian Island, but Sea Voice Divers made it possible!
We met the guys and girls from Sea Voice Divers and we basically became family for an entire week. They were incredibly awesome, professional and funny. We went diving to really cool dive sites, saw rare fishes, had great talks in the evening and we had Malaysian lunch together! (delicious chicken!)

Diving Pulau Perhentian, Malaysia
We've decided to take a quick side trip to Pulau Perhentian to exercise our diving muscles before we head out to Borneo. We only intended to do one dive to test out Tony's newly repaired tooth before we shell out tons of cash to dive world-famous (and expensive) Sipadan. But due to a lack of self-control, one dive turned into three.
We dove Sugar Wreck, T3 and Temple of the Sea. Exciting discoveries included the biggest barracuda we've ever seen, our first bamboo sharks and blacktip sharks, candelabra-like coral, and some of the most stunningly psychedelic anemones. All three dives were enjoyable, but only Temple of the Sea ranks as a must-see site. (If you dive Temple of the Sea, keep an eye out for that mega-barracuda!)

Perhentian Island, or Pulau Perhentian as the locals call it, is well known as a marine paradise and forms a parts of the National Marine Park of Malaysia.
Made up of two islands, namely Pulau Perhentian Kecil and Pulau Perhentian Besar, they were the connecting points for traders plying the Malaysia- Bangkok route in the past but holiday seekers have found pleasure and the islands continue to buzz with life. Perhentian Kecil has made a name for itself as a scuba diving hub and its vibrancy is evident with the younger crowd favouring the beach bar and it is almost as though the night is always young at this island. Perhentian Kecil is also the home of the annual Perhentian Island Challenge that draws many participants and visitors alike.

Diving in Perhentian Island, Malaysia
today we are doing our first dive in perhentian island malaysia.
Perhentian island has so much marine life to see here including turtles stingrays sharks octopus and more, so we had to do a few dives to experience it for yourself.
We payed around 90 ringit per dive which is around 17 pounds per dive which is a pretty cheap price. The dive locations are pretty empty with only 1 or 2 groups of divers at a dive site at the same time.
Perhentian island is a good place to practice diving because of how quiet it is and you can get a lot more of a personal experience from your dive master to help you feel comfortable
