We are both Kaikoura's and New Zealand's original seal swimming crew and cater solely to seal swimmers. For us living in Kaikoura and taking people seal swimming is a life style choice. There are not many successful businesses such as ours where the owners are still jumping in the water every day to be your guides. Our tours are licenced by the New Zealand Department of Conservation and we work hard to ensure that we do not disturb the natural behavioural patterns of the seals.
You'll be part of an intimate group of like minded adventurers suited up with warm wetsuits and guided on one of our boat-based seal snokelling tours.

We suited up in 5 millimetre wet suits and went out a Seal Swim Kaikoura boat for an opportunity to swim with wild New Zealand Fur Seals.
To protect the seals (and us), there are very strict rules for this type of activity.
We could not approach nor harass the seals in any way. We did not wear weight belts so it was not possible to dive below the surface.
The seals climb onto the rocks to get warm in the sun. When they get too warm, they take a dip in the water to cool off before climbing back onto the rocks.
The day we went was mostly overcast so the seals were not very active. But, we did get to see several seals in the water.

ADORABLE BABY SEALS | Ohau Waterfall | Kaikoura, New Zealand
Visiting the Ohau Waterfall in Kaikourna New Zealand and watching the baby seals play in the waterfall has been the top highlight of our RV trip through New Zealand. We sat and watched the baby seals play for at least an hour! It was the coolest nature moment I have ever experience!

Orcas, seals AND swimming with dolphins in Kaikoura | REBELZ LOG 40
Kaikoura is the perfect place in New Zealand to spot wildlife. The first day we hopped on a boat ride with Dolphin Encounter Kaikoura. After a couple minutes we got extremely lucky and saw a family of orcas!! So unique. Best day ever. After that we spotted the Dusky Dolphins, geared up and jumped in the water to swim with them. What a day.. The day after we went for a chill walk to the seal colony on the peninsula and checked out the seals that are living over there. Enjoy!
