Description
Hols09: Sean O'casey's Bridge, Dublin, Ireland
Come with me for a walk across Sean O'casey's Bridge, near the Custons House, Dublin. He was a playwright and a humanist, which is cool. The sailing ship is the Jeannie Johnson replica.
Dublin Cyclists Sean O'Casey bridge
Cyclists in Dublin don't seem to care that pedestrian bridges are for cyclists.
Sean O'Casey pedestrian bridge in Dublin was opened in 2005. Although it is designated for pedestrians and has no cycling signs on the south end, mounted cyclists cross it constantly. In 46 minutes on a bank holiday Friday afternoon 41 cyclists rode across the bridge. They included couriers, tourists, old age pensioners, men in suits and students. In Dublin cyclists observe almost no laws or any code of conduct.
