Winter air temperatures inland normally reach 8degree c,while the coldest months are January and February. Best ,perhaps,are the months of March to May and September to November,as the weather isn't as cold as during the winter months.
The Irish calendar is Julian calendar as it was in use in Ireland,But also incorporating Irish cultural festivals and views of the division of the seasons .
