Places to see in ( Axminster - UK )
Axminster is a market town and civil parish on the eastern border of the county of Devon in England, some 28 miles from the county town of Exeter. The town of Axminster is built on a hill overlooking the River Axe which heads towards the English Channel at Axmouth, and is in the East Devon local government district.
Axminster gave its name to a type of carpet. An Axminster-type power loom is capable of weaving high quality carpets with many varying colours and patterns. While Axminster carpets are made in the town by Axminster Carpets Ltd, this type of carpet is now manufactured all over the world.
Axminster railway station was opened on 19 July 1860, with the London and South Western Railway (LSWR) offering direct services between Central Station in Exeter and Yeovil. The station building was designed by the LSWR's architect Sir William Tite in mock gothic style. In 1903, the branch line from Axminster to Lyme Regis was opened. This branch line was closed with the Beeching cuts, in the 1960s. One engine has been preserved on the Bluebell Line, in Sussex, while the station was dismantled and reconstructed at New Alresford, on the Watercress Line, in Hampshire. Axminster is the southern starting point of the Taunton Stop Line, a World War II defensive line consisting of pillboxes and anti-tank obstacles, which runs north to the Somerset coast near Highbridge.
The hamlet of Abbey Gate lies to the south of the town near the A35 and A358 intersection. Other villages within 5 miles (8.0 km) of Axminster include Chardstock, Colyford, Combpyne, Dalwood, Hawkchurch, Kilmington, Membury, Musbury, Raymond's Hill, Rousdon, Shute, Smallridge, Tytherleigh, Uplyme and Whitford.

From Honiton to Roy's
This film was shot and edited after I fitted a flyscreen to my CBF500 and went out to see what difference it had made. I tried ride as proscribed by Roadcraft the Police Riders Manuel and to a standard fitting of an advanced rider all be it just the bronze grade. Those of you who are familiar with advanced riding will note that I am making slow progress even for the very poor road conditions, this is intentional as I am in the habit of deliberately riding slower after I have had a break from using my bike and am out of practice, well that's my excuse and I am sticking to it. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Places to see in ( Chagford - UK )
Chagford is a market town and civil parish on the north-east edge of Dartmoor, in Devon, England, close to the River Teign. It is located off the A382, about 4 miles west of Moretonhampstead. The name Chagford is derived from the word chag, meaning gorse or broom, and the ford suffix indicates its importance as a crossing place on the River Teign.
Archaeological remains confirm that a community has existed here for at least 4000 years. In historical times, Chagford grew due to the wool trade and from tin mining in the area. A weekly market was held here from before 1220, and a livestock market in the town survived until the 1980s. In 1305 it was made a stannary town where tin was traded. Among the most prominent tin-mining families in the 16th century were the Endecotts, Knapmans, Whiddons and Lethbridges.
Whiddon, seat of the Whiddon family. Sir John Whiddon (d.1576), a Justice of the King's Bench under Queen Elizabeth I, purchased the manor of Chagford, built a new manor house at Whiddon, part of which survives today, and built a deer park, the massive granite block wall of which survives today.
Today Chagford is a thriving community with high property prices, busy streets, and an unusually wide range of shops for a town of this size, although not immune to national trends having lost its post office and banks. Two large hardware stores side-by-side in the town square were run by the same two families for over a century, but one of these closed in 2017. It is also known for its arts community, celebrated through the autumn Chagford Film Festival, the springtime Chagword literary festival (every two years), the summer's Chagstock Music Festival, the annual Wonderworks crafts weekend, and other regular cultural events. There are several tea rooms and whole food cafés, one Bangladeshi restaurant, and four pubs. There are numerous guest houses and hotels in the surrounding countryside. These provide accommodation for the large influx of visitors during the year. The early 20th century Edwin Lutyens house Castle Drogo lies nearby in Drewsteignton parish, and overlooks Chagford.
A 16th century building called Endecott House, on the edge of the town square, was given this name in the early 1990s in honour of Pilgrim Father and governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony, John Endecott, who lived in Chagford before leaving for the New World. This building was possibly built as a church house, and has certainly been in community use for many years, including use as a village school. It now serves as a meeting hall.
One of the social centres of Chagford is the village hall, the Jubilee Hall, in the south-east corner of the town next to the public car park. Built in 1936 by public subscription, it also houses the library (which opens three part-days a week). It provides a venue for the regular Friday morning flea markets as well as other activities such as badminton, table tennis, parties, discos, comedy nights, kung fu, Pilates, etc. The town is beginning to outgrow this Hall, and it is being extended during 2016 and 2017. The Three Crowns Hotel dates to the 13th century and is reportedly haunted by the ghost of the cavalier poet, Sidney Godolphin, who was fatally wounded there in the English Civil War.

3 Tricks To Catch More Fish With Finesse Swimbaits
Finesse swimbaits are awesome! These little paddle tails get bit every month of the year and they catch way bigger bass than most anglers realize. If you aren't using them, you're missing out on some of the easiest bites you can get. Simple adjustments to cadence and head design will make the baits even more effective. Come along as Tim explains exactly how to maximize your time with small swimbaits.
Tim has a handful of heads he uses to really dial in his finesse swimbaits. He adjusts head selection with the size of the bait, depth he's fishing, and water clarity. (Underspin for muddy water, Okashira for Ultra finesse tactics, and a mix of Guppy and TacticalBassin Finesse swimbait heads for all the standard clear to murky water fishing.) He combines those heads with 3 different cadences that help him maximize his time on the water. By adjusting cadence he is able to keep catching fish on small swimbaits when most anglers have given up.
The finesse swimbait is truly deadly in Winter. It will work today and will continue to work all the way through the spawn. Below is a breakdown of the baits, heads, and Gear Tim is using to catch bass on finesse swimbaits.

How to fit a baby's car seat correctly
If your baby is going to be travelling in a car she must have an appropriate car seat for her age and one that is fitted properly. We show you how to fit a baby car seat.
If your baby is going to travel in a car, by law she must have an appropriate car seat.
For a newborn you'll need a group 0+ infant carrier (suitable from birth to when your baby weighs 13kg -- around 12-15 months) or a combination group 0/1 seat, which lasts from birth to 18kg (around age four).
Baby car seats have evolved in recent years, with bolder designs and new features adding to their versatility. Many can now be attached to a compatible pushchair to create a travel system. Other seats lie flat so they double as carrycots.
The priority with all car seats is safety, so check the seat will be secure in your car. 'Some manufacturers list compatible vehicles on their website; otherwise the shop assistant should be able to check,' says Caroline Cosgrove of nursery advisory service Baby Concierge.
It's also crucial that you know how to install the seat, so ask for a demonstration.
While standard car seats attach using the adult seat belt, ISOFIX models clip onto a base that plugs into the car's chassis, simplifying installation.
Designed to eliminate incorrect (and hence dangerous) fitting, ISOFIX has been standard in all cars manufactured since 2006 but some older vehicles have it, too. Check in the manual if you're unsure.

We visited William Lloyd Primary School in Paarl with the Rhino Art team. They are rolling out a youth art conservation initiative aimed at reaching a million kids in South Africa and elswewhere.
The initiative was started to give young people a voice against poaching by using their art. The aim is to gather the largest number of children’s voices ever recorded in support of rhino conservation.
