Adventures in Iceland PART 1 - Traveling in Iceland Geyser Secret Lagoon Hitch Hiking
*Sky and I go to Iceland. The plane ride, our apartment, hanging out with new friends. It was so cold sometimes the camera did not work. Visiting a geyser, bathing in a hot spring and slid around at Skógafoss waterfall. Picked up a few hitchhikers. Gorgeous black sand beach near Vikurbraut named Dyrhólaey (The Arch With The Hole). Diner with cheese cake. Basalt columns. I hope you enjoy.

TRAVEL TIPS
Must see
My two favourite places in Iceland are Reykjavik and the Secret Lagoon.
I was very impressed at how small and cozy Reykjavik is. You can do everything by foot and the people are very friendly.
I don't know if you like thermal pools, but if you do, you can't miss it in Iceland. I liked the Secret Lagoon because, although it is of course touristic, it had a local feel to it. The staff is friendly and the infrastructure around it is simple and very close to nature - I loved it!
Must taste
Lamb, anyone?
I'm not a big fan of lamb. I don't like the taste of lamb, but there was something about Icelandic lamb which was different. It doesn't have a strong particular taste and the texture was very soft. So if you have your mind set on not liking lamb...think again...try Hangikjöt!
What I'd do differently next time
Check the weather! I was in Iceland during summer, in July, and automatically assumed it would be warm. I had to buy a jacket and a scarf there because, even during summer, it gets chilly and can be very windy.
What I'd make time to do if I went back
I would like to go back to see the Northern lights, so around January-March. Summer in Iceland was a wonderful experience, since there is practically no night, which felt interesting! Sleeping was a challenge, believe it or not. So now I'm curious to see how winter would be.

Myvatn Nature Bath - Blue Lagoon of the north Iceland - drone aerial movie
Myvatn Nature Bath (Jarðböðin við Mývatn) is a geothermal swimming pool often called the Blue Lagoon north of Iceland.
Baths located in an active volcanic Krafla area between the towns of Akureyti and Seydisfjordur.
Water is supplied to the lagoon with a small geothermal station which is operated by Landsvikjun - national energy supplier. That station is one of the oldest in Iceland, was launched in March 1969 year. It is used as a source of hot water supplying the local towns and villages and of course the aforementioned lagoon.
The water pumped to the pool in the vicinity of the lagoon has a temperature of about 130 degrees, whereas in the lagoon, depending on where from 36 to 40 degrees Celsius. Watering is built in a way less commercial than its counterpart located in the vicinity of Keflavík - Blue Lagoon. It is also much less crowded with tourists, what makes this place worth a visit, especially for people who like the peace by taking relaxing baths admire the way the beautiful surroundings. The bottom of the lagoon is dotted with sand and fine gravel. The water in the pools is rich in many minerals having healing properties, especially for the respiratory system and skin. Due to its composition of water in the lagoon it is still pure and naturally disinfected. One of the components is, of course, sulfur, avoid swimming jewelry, almost immediately blackens.
Baths is equipped with two steam baths, where the temperature is about 50 ° C and the relative humidity reaches 100%. Peering into the restaurant kvik can taste the local specialties, especially the famous soup of the day and bread baked in the hot springs.
When I describing the hot river mentioned the Icelanders often taking her bath. It is no different in the case of Myvatn Nature Bath and all other sources, swimming pools and so on. This is what you love here under discussion, churn business, start your day. Impressive in all this is the fact that they remain faithful to nature, as opposed to tourists have no inhibitions either during a shower or while swimming in the lagoon or other natural sources, rivers, hidden in Iceland.

Winter rooftop view over a natural spa in Iceland
A rooftop view from Laugarvatn Fontana during winter. The calm, cold and refreshing air can be enjoyed while bathing in the hot tubs or used to cool down after a hot, natural and active steam bath. Our steam cabins are located just above an active hot spring and you can clearly hear its activeness under the feet...
Laugarvatn FONTANA is located in the Golden circle tour, just between Thingvellir national park on one hand and on the other the most famous Geysir and Gullfoss.

ICELAND VLOG - Winter Road Trip 2019
In the heart of winter, I went on an Iceland road trip with my mom. In 7 days, we covered the entire southern coast of the country in detail. We visited waterfalls, hot springs, glaciers, beaches, horse fields and much more.
This trip made me realize that not everything is about high production quality videos and only using the best gear in the industry to capture some staged moments on a trip. Half of this video was filmed on an iPhone, yet the memories are still there. That's what is most important.
