Seychelles the best kept travel secret
Visit the beaches. A lot of the beaches are untouched by man. Beaches on the Seychelles offer clear blue skies and a tranquility you will rarely find. A hike along the coastline from Beau Vallon to Anse Major will take about 1.5-2 hours and your reward will be a small deserted beach that's fit for a king. The scenery along the hike is breathtaking
Aldabra Atoll: The world's largest coral atoll. Aldabra is the original home of the giant land tortoise, tiger sharks and manta rays can also often be seen here.
Watersports: The warm Indian Ocean waters make Seychelles the perfect place for the water enthusiasts. Explore on board a yacht, power boat, catamaran or sailboat. Windsurfing is also popular and the best time for this activity is usually around May than in October, at the start and end of the trade winds.
Scuba diving, snorkeling, and fishing are also very popular and can be done almost anywhere in Seychelles. Baie Ternay is superb and easily accessible by glass bottom boat tour from Beau Vallon beach. A wide array of tropical fish are often seen, sea turtles, eagle rays and more!
Land Sports: Golf, tennis, squash, badminton, horseback riding, biking and hiking are some of the recreational activities available on the Seychelles Islands. Bike rentals and walking tours are great ways to sightsee and since distances are relatively short and the scenery is beautiful, walking is probably the best way to see the smaller islands (La Digue, Praslin).
Nightlife: Do not miss most popular Nightclub Lovenut in the center of Victoria, 100 meters walk from central Taxi station. Also entertaining are Tequila Boom at (Bel Ombre) and Katiolio (near Anse Royale) night clubs. Katiolio was one of the first nightclubs to open on Mahe.
Yacht charter and sailing, one of the worlds largest yacht charter companies, can take care of all charter requirements
Hiking There are several maintained hiking routes on the main island of Mahe and a few on Praslin.

In this brief video you can find seven little known facts about Seychelles.
More information about the video content bellow:
1. The Seychelles were uninhabited throughout most of recorded history. This beautiful country island was home to none until the latter part of the 18th century, when its first settlers arrived.
2. An island nation, Seychelles is located in the Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar and about 1,600 km east of Kenya. The archipelago consists of 115 islands. The majority of the islands are uninhabited, with almost half dedicated as nature reserves. A group of 42 islands, referred to as the inland islands, has a total area of 244 km2, comprising 54% of the total land area of the Seychelles and 98% of the entire population.
3. The country is home to the heaviest land tortoise that is living in the wild. Named Esmeralda, the animal weighs 304 kilograms and can be found at the Bird Island. Esmeralda is the second oldest giant tortoise at the age of 171 years.
4. Seychelles was the land of pirates, in particular Anse Forbans (Pirate’s Cove) on Mahé Island and Côte d’Or on Praslin. The pirates used to seek the islands as a hideout and it is believed that a treasure worth more than $160,000 was hidden by Olivier Levasseur at the time. It hasn’t been discovered yet.
5. The Seychelles is not the smallest island nation in the world. In fact, there are over thirty nations and territories that are smaller than the Seychelles. Seychelles is, however, the smallest country in all of Africa, with only 452 km sq.
6. The Clock Tower in Victoria or Lorloz as it is better known in Creole was officially inaugurated on 1st April 1903. The Clock Tower is an elegant replica of the clock that was first erected in London in 1897 at the junction of Victoria Street and Vauxhall Bridge Road, near Victoria Station.
7. Today, Seychelles boasts the highest nominal per capita GDP in Africa, excluding the French regions. It is one of only a handful of countries in Africa with high Human Development Index. Despite the country's newfound economic prosperity, poverty remains widespread due to very high level of income inequality, one of the highest in the world, and low wealth distribution.

What Can $10 Get You in THE SEYCHELLES?!
Welcome to THE SEYCHELLES -- my 139th country!
This tiny African island nation in the middle of the Indian Ocean is most famous for its picture-perfect beaches and world-class resorts. But you all know what beaches and resorts look like... so I wanted to show you the opposite side of the Seychelles -- the local life -- which I came to realize is very minimal. The capital city (town) of Victoria has merely 25,000 people, making it the smallest capital in Africa and one of the smallest in the world.
The Seychelles is also VERY EXPENSIVE, so making this video was quite hard... But nonetheless, join me in my 15th episode of this series to see 'how much you can get with $10 USD' in the Seychelles.
Have you ever been to the Seychelles? Please share your experiences in the Seychelles below!

P.S. -- This video was one of the hardest I've ever made. I nearly gave up, as it's been pouring rain all day and it happens to be a national holiday in the Seychelles, meaning almost everything is closed. As I have been limited on what I could do and see here, I apologize if this episode is less entertaining than my usual ones! Thanks for watching.

Things To Do In The Seychelles
Looking for things to do in the Seychelles? Then check out this amazing video made by UNILAD Adventure in collaboration with the Seychelles Tourism Board.
He Works 365 Days Every Year (Seychelles)
My visit to the Seychelles has been underwhelming (if I'm being nice). The combination of bad weather and a public holiday has left me stranded with almost nothing to do, nobody to meet and no sites to see.
But amid all of my loneliness, I managed to find one small shop open in the capital town of Victoria, where I was kindly greeted by an Indian man, named Hari Haran, who was working behind the counter.
After speaking with him for just a few minutes and getting to know his life story (and struggles), I asked for his permission to record our talk and put it on my FB page. He agreed, and that is what you are about to watch in this video. Can you believe that he works 365 days every year? Could you ever work 365 days in one year?
Listening to his story is a reminder to be thankful if you are happy with your job and are able to live closely with your loved ones. Unfortunately for Hari Haran, this is not the case.
Despite his tough situation, we managed to connect while having a very nice conversation. I'm telling you guys, the most rewarding part about traveling is getting to meet people from all walks of life.
