Sefa Hamam received a raving 5 Star review from one of their customers and we are delighted to share it with you.
“Good en traditional hamam experience”
Friendly people. We were asked which treatment we wanted. Then the host took us to our private changingroom from which you can carry the key. Afterwards we were brought to the hamam dome which has been built in the 15th century ad.
Then we got a marvellous scrub and soapmassage. We got rid of all old skin and felt like a newborn baby. Then we were invited for an apple tea and some fruit, followed by an oil massage of half an hour. The staff speaks just enough english and german to help you through all steps.
In total the treatment lasted 2 hrs and only costed 75 lira per person. Friendly and respectful and professional staff. When you visit Antalya definitely a must.

A 700 Year Old Hamam (Turkish Bath) in Antalya, Turkey
What would a trip to Turkey be without experiencing a hamam/hamami in a historic, 700 year old Turkish Bath! Travels With Sheila has always hesitated envisioning women briskly sandpapering multiple layers of skin off my body, contorting limbs into a new configeration, and creating a design of black and blue marks.
A English-speaking man at Balikpazari Hamami promised faithfully that the woman ministering to me would be very careful. Did you know that traditionally the masseurs in the baths were young men who besides soaping and scrubbing their clients also worked as sex workers in these places? Hmm...talk about a happy ending...
My woman was professional, took good care of me and made sure it was a pleasant experience.

“Great first experience”
I wish it lasted longer! I'm a long time fan of saunas and scrubs, so I was very excited to try a Hammam for the first time! A friend recommended Sefa.
I was visiting during off season and arrived fairly early, so I was their only customer. It started with the sauna, it was a beautiful room, I was in there for about 10-15mins( wish I had asked to stay a bit longer). My attendee was a male named RECAI. He was super nice, and made me feel really comfortable.
The scrubbing was great ( the part I was most excited about) Recai was sure to make sure that the scrubbing was at a suitable strength.
This was a great first experience. Everyone was super nice!!
