Fukushima Town is located on the eastern side of Cape Shirakami(白神岬) from Matsumae（松前）. The town is famous as the northern end of the 54 kilometer long Seikan Tunnel which is the longest and deepest undersea rail tunnel in the world. The tunnel connects Hokkaido with Aomori Prefecture.
Seikan Tunnel Museum
Outside of the winter months, visitors to Fukushima can visit the Seikan Tunnel Museum, the inside of which designed like a section of the undersea tunnel. The museum displays information and photographs about the project and shows equipment used during the tunnel's construction.
Hours: 9:00 to 17:00
Closed: November 16 to March 16
Admission: 400 yen (700 yen combination ticket including the Yokozuna Museum)
Yokozuna Museum
Yokozuna Museum is located just a few hundred meters down the road from the tunnel museum.
It is dedicated to two local former sumo wrestlers, Chiyonoyama and Chiyonofuji. Chiyonoyama was a powerful wrestler in after war Japan, who quickly rose up to the highest rank of yokozuna. His pupil, Chiyonofuji, who was one of the lightest yokozuna in modern times, yet also one of the most powerful, successful and beloved.

Highway through a Building Story ★ ONLY in JAPAN
Osaka's Gate Tower Building is an amazing sight to see because ... well, how should I put this? A highway goes through the building.
It literally does, and there is a story behind it.
In this episode, John not only goes inside to see where the elevator takes him, he also drives through it -- in a Lotus Seven. We'll also go up the Umeda Sky Building and catch some fantastic angles of the city, skyline and Gate Tower Building.
THE STORY:
Here it is from the building owner.
It’s basically a land rights dispute with a sort of happy ending.
The property was owned by a business (coal and wood company) since the early Meiji era but when business declined, so did the buildings in the 1970s. The area was approved to be redeveloped in 1983 but the property holder refused to give up the land, even though new building permits had been refused to him. The highway corporation and the property owner negotiated for 5 years and what you see today is their compromise. Highways usually buy the land they’re on but a new law in 1989 allowed the possibility of having two owners on the same spot, really meant for highways to go underground but hey – let’s get creative.
The highway is the legal tenant of floors 5 through 7.
The current building tenant on the other floors is TKP.

Otaru (小樽) is a small harbor city, about 40km(25ml) northwest of Sapporo. With beautifully preserved canal area and interesting herring mansions, Otaru is a pleasant day trip city from Sapporo or a nice stop en route to or from Niseko or the Shakotan Peninsula.
Otaru served as a major trade and fishing port from Hokkaido's colonization in the late 1800s. For this reason it was chosen as the terminal station of Hokkaido's first railway line that connected the port with nearby Sapporo. Many old warehouses and former office buildings by trade and shipping companies give Otaru's city center a special character reminiscent of past decades.

Matsumae (松前) adalah kastil kota lama di sebelah barat semenanjung Shirakami （白神岬）, yang terletak di sebelah selatan Hokkaido. Hanya sekitar 20 meter sebrang sellat tsugaru dari Aomori. Matsumae merupakan batas uatara dari Jepang selama zaman Edo dan penjajahan yang liar, tidak jinak di bagian terdepan Hokkaido. Kota berkembang ini menarik 30.000 orang pedagang untuk tinggal dan melakukan perdagangan, dan terlindungi oleh pasukan di kastil Mastumae, dimana hanya Kastil bergaya Jepang yang dibangun di Hokkaido.
Dibangun di sisi bukit memberikan keuntungan, Kastul Matsumae memiliki pondasi di Hokkaiso dmana Pulau ini merupakan sumberdaya alam. Pada akhir zaman Edo kastil ini dilengkapi dengan meriam untuk melawan kapal asing seperti kebanyakan kastil bergaya jepang, Kastil Matsumae tetap hancur beberapa kali selama beberapa abad. Bangunan barunya setinggi 3 tingkat merupakan pugaran modern yang dibangun pada awal tahun 1960-an. Dimana menjadi ruma h sejarah yang menampilkan koleksi artefak dari klan Matsumae, termasuk beberapa barang dari Bangsa Ainu.

North To Hokkaido ★Japan Vlog 21★
To start this day trip out, we where greeted with rain while riding on the Shinkansen. The vending machines started selling warm coffee and I tried out Black Coffee to wake myself up. On the way to Aomori we ate a clam bento lunch and enjoyed the ride. On the way to Hakodate we went through the Seikan Tunnel & around the bay. We got stuck in Hakodate Station for a few hours and explored the station. We got onto a train that sounded like a bus that took us pass Mt Komagatake. After a long ride we finally arrived at Noboribetsu, check into the hotel, & eat a wonderful Japanese Buffet Style Dinner. After dinner the wife and I go and enjoy a Private Onsen all by ourselves.
