Snurfin-Jiggle Waterfall (aka Seljalandsfoss) in Hamragardar, South Iceland
Tim and I visited Seljalandsfoss in southern Iceland. It was incredibly icy but worth the trip!
Seljalandsfoss (Hamragardar, South Region, Iceland) | Explore Iceland | Guide to iceland
The iconic seljalandfoss is the most spectacular falls in Iceland. This famous fall is about 120KM from Reykjavik. This was part of our ring road. This was our third day stop. We have no words to describe this place. It is magical. it's probably only fall where you can walk right behind it.
This was shot using my GOPRO as i walked from the parking lot. don't park your car along the main road ( you will get ticketed). I didn't realize the water will hinder my camera view. you still get a great view but could have been better.. I will post another video shot from my iPhone later on.

Iceland South Coast - Seljalandsfoss waterfall
Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Gljufrafoss Top Iceland waterfalls drone
Seljalandsfoss waterfall is one of the best known places in Iceland. Seljalandsfoss is located in the South Region in Iceland right by Route 1 (Iceland) and the road that leads to Þórsmörk Road 249. The waterfall is one of the most popular waterfalls and natural wonders in Iceland. The waterfall drops 60 meters and is part of the river Seljalands-river that has its origin in the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajokull. One of the interesting things about this waterfall is the fact that visitors can walk behind it into a small cave.
Gljufrafoss waterfall ( Gljúfrafoss or Gljúfrabúi ) one who lives in the canyon is a small waterfall north of the larger falls of Seljalandsfoss waterfall in Iceland. The falls are partially obscured by the cliff rock, but hikers can follow a trail to enter the narrow canyon where the water plummets to a small pool. There is also a winding trail nearby and a wooden staircase to enable sightseers to climb roughly halfway up and view the falls from another perspective.

Seljalandsfoss Waterfall - South Iceland
Seljalandsfoss, one of the higher waterfalls in Iceland, though it has little water. A path at the bottom of the cliff makes it possible to walk behind the fall. The waterfall and its surroundings are floodlit at night.
Seljaland, a farm where many small caves are to be found, one of them Kverkarhellir, previously used for official gatherings. Above the farm is the cave Seljalandshellir, sometimes called Papahellir, where there are many ancient remains, and cross marks in the tuff walls, near the highway.

Seljalandsfoss Waterfall in 2011 | South, Iceland.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall or the one you can walk behind as it is often called is one of the must-visit places in Iceland. Falling right from Eyjafjallajökull glacier that famously erupted in 2010 making it even more special.
