This ski route was extremely beautiful, probably the most beautiful in the whole Alta Badia. If I had to choose where to stay in this ski region, I'd definately chose Corvara. Of course, there are a lot of people there since Corvara is very close to the Sella Ronda ski route, but it's definately worth-it. Overall, the city has a good vibe and the best Apres Ski. It's true that Corvara is also one of the more expensive places to stay within Alta Badia, mainly because of the Sella Ronda route nearby.

From the site: AltaBadia.org The Sellaronda Bike Day, the bicycle festival around the Sella mountain group, has become one of the biggest sporting events in the Dolomites and Alta Badia.
On the Sellaronda Bike Day Sunday in June every year the pass roads around the Sella massif are closed to motorized traffic from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm and reserved for cyclists.
We started from Corvara in Badia, proceeded climbing up the Passo Gardena Pass, then the Passo Sella Pass, the Passo Pordoi Pass, and the Passo campolongo Pass to finish back in Corvara in Alta Val Badia. The Dolomite mountains and their valleys offer a variety of different breathtaking landscapes. By cycling the SellaRonda, you travel from one region to another, Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto, and provinces of Bolzano, Belluno

4K Ski & Snowboard: Italy 2019. Dolomites. Sella Ronda
Sella. The Ladins have always called it this, from the time when there were a few mud tracks and no ski-lifts.
The Sella Ronda was the circuit on skis around this massif in the Dolomites, the Sella, across the four passes, which the Ladins used in order to keep in contact with the other inhabitants in the area.
Nowadays the name still means the circuit around the Sella massif but it has also come to indicate what amounts to a sort of merry-go-round for skiers, the only one of its kind, a series of ski-lifts and downhill runs, all linked to one another and set against a background of woods, rocky peaks and expanses of snow that is no exaggeration to call extraordinary.

What you will see in this video:
- the famous Sellaronda, which is circular ski route around the Sella massif. You will pass the four Ladin valleys: Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Val di Fassa and Arabba. The tour can be done in both directions, clockwise or anticlockwise.
- the mountain Lagazuoi and Cinque Torri, along the Grande Guerra. The Grande Guerra ski tour is the First World War ski tour, and one of the most spectacular ski tours in the Dolomites. The track goes along the mountain Mount Col di Lana, which is the centre point of the First World War tour. Along the route you will find yourself between the nature and history of the Dolomites. The track is in total 80 km (49 mi) long and you will drive the longest ski slope in the Dolomites, from the top of Lagazuoi ( descends towards Armentarola in Alta Badia.
- the Queen of the Dolomites, the mountain Marmolada, which is the highest peak of the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site with its 3342 meters of altitude. From the top of the Marmolada you can enjoy one of the longest slopes of Dolomiti Superski, the 12 km long La Bellunese (which is also connected to the Sellaronda ski tour). There is even a small museum on the top of the Mount Marmolada, called “Marmolada Great War Museum” which is about the battlefield during WW1 in the Dolomites.
- Santa Croce, which is a pilgrimage destination situated at 2,045 meters of altitude right in the middle of the Fanes. The small restaurant next to the church serves the best food ever!!!
- Seceda-Col Raiser-Rasciesa skiing consortium, with the beautiful view of the Langkofel Group and the Dolomites, as well all the mountains from Ortles to Großglockner (in Austria).
- and much much more :)

The Sellaronda is the ski circuit around the Sella group.
The Sella lies between the four Ladin valleys of Badia, Gherdëina, Fascia, and Fodom and is divided between the provinces of South Tyrol, Trentino and Belluno. It can be driven around by car crossing the Campolongo Pass, Pordoi Pass, Sella Pass, and Gardena Pass. In winter it is possible to ski around the entire massif by using the Sellaronda ski lift carousel. Also each winter the alpine touring ski Sellaronda Skimarathon race is held, which leads around the entire Sella and covers 42 km of mountain trails. The same trails can be mastered by Mountain bike during the summer.
