Our Uttarakhand is really incredible. We were mesmerized by the greenery which is the essence of the routes. Entertained by the heavenly fountains we felt as if God's pouring his drink straight from his brink.
There were temples more than people in the area. Every milestone, every turn was addressed by a temple, hence the realisation hit us hard that Uttarakhand is indeed, the devbhoomi of the Indian subcontinent. Not only the majestic atmosphere, but even the inhabitants were hypnotising. As we were crossing this pretty little stream, we came across a girl, a common pahadi girl who we carrying a basket filled with clothes which were apparently heavier than her. Her body clad with worn out, torn clothes were definitely not complimenting her divine beautiful eyes. Big jade green almond eyes, so enticing that we were compelled to give some money as an offering. Conclusion, she seemed like someone who was beyond this mortal realm.

Shivank, who's bestowed with a vast knowledge of dev Sanskriti of Uttarakhand, was telling me about a local deity 'Naagni devi'. I hope we could visit the temple, because of Shivank's way of describing it heavenly. He knew nothing about the location of the temple. Out of nowhere in an unknown location, we stopped and asked a woman wearing her beautiful Garhwali traditional attire if she knows the way to the legendary Naagni Devi temple. She smiled and lifted her hands, pointing towards a temple right behind us and said yun kanu tumaar pethar! Which means it's right behind you.

Call it coincidence or God's plan but it was kinda spooky.
We devoted our prayers to Nagini Devi and moved on we crossed pretty Khandkhal and Mukhem gaon. The realisation of the height we were on was the great white Himalayas in front of us kissing the seventh heaven. We parked our scooty in Talbala sem.
Without any further deliberation, we started the herculean effort of tracking to the Sem Mukhem Temple. It was one half of a track not for the soft heart The pointed stones and trees and turned with equality clink like snakes together, the track was so challenging that once we thought of giving up but suddenly the ringing of the pious Bells and chants going from the temple ignited our spirits and we moved our legs with double efforts and soon we were greeted with the Majestic 7 hood snake gate telling us that we have reached the destination the Sem Mukhem Temple.

यह सफर लंबगांव से होते हुए आगे की और चला। लंबगांव, प्रताप नगर ब्लॉक में स्थित है। लंबगांव से कुछ दूर ही हमें नागनी देवी का मंदिर भी मिला जो की कोड़ार गाँव में है। कोडार से आगे चलते हुए हमें दीनगांव में कुछ आकर्षक घर मिले जो दिखने में अनोखे थे,उनकी बनावट हमारे टिहरी के गांव से अलग थी।
दीनगांव से आगे हमें एक घट मिला। घट एक प्राचीन पद्धति है जिसमे गांव के लोग पानी के बहाव को परिवर्तित कर के उससे मानव निर्मित चक्की को घुमाने में किया जाता है। घट का प्रचलन अब कम हो चूका है। सेम मुखेम अब हमारे करीब ही था। मुखेम गाँव से होते हुए हम सेम गांव पहुंचे। तलबला सेम से हमने पैदल यात्रा शुरू की जो की खड़ी चढाई है। दूरी सिर्फ 1.5 किलोमीटर आपको पैदल जाना होगा।
सेम मुखेम को पाँचवा धाम भी कहा जाता है। सेम मुखेम में पंडित जी महेंद्र दत्त जय सेम नागराजा, जय सेम नागराजा।

सेम मुखेम, नागराज देवता का एक पौराणिक मंदिर है। उत्तराखंड में यह नाग मंदिर काफी प्रसिद्ध है और इससे जुडी बहुत सी कहानियां है। इस वीडियो में तीन कहानियो का जिक्र किआ गया है जो की सबसे ज्यादा वास्तविक मानी जाती है।

सेम मुखेम को उत्तराखंड का पांचवा धाम तथा उत्तर धाम भी कहा जाता है। सेम मुखेम मंदिर टिहरी जिले के प्रताप नगर तहसील में समुद्र तल से तक़रीबन 7000 फ़ीट की ऊंचाई तथा मुखेम गांव से 2 KM की दूरी पर स्थित है।

सेम मुखेम मंदिर शृद्धालुओ में सेम नागराजा के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है, यह एक प्रसिद्ध नाग तीर्थ है। सेम मुखेम मंदिर का द्वार बहुत ही भव्य एवं विशाल है जो 14 फुट चौड़ा व 27 फुट ऊँचा है। इस विशाल द्वार के शीर्ष पर नागराज फन फैलाये है और भगवान श्री कृष्ण नागराज के फन के ऊपर बंशीधर के रूप में लीन है।
रमोला गढ़ के गढ़पति गंगू रमोला यहाँ के राजा थे। गंगू रमोला काफी वृद्ध थे एवं उनकी कोई संतान नहीं थी। गंगू रमोला की पत्नी मैणावती श्री कृष्ण की उपासक थी, दूसरी तरफ गंगू रमोला देवीय शक्तियों पर इतना यकीन नहीं रखते थे।
गंगू रमोला की मुर्तिया भी इस मंदिर में उपस्थित है।
सेम मुखेम से जुडी सभी कहानियो को इस वीडियो में मैंने जोड़ा है। हैडफ़ोन लगा कर यह वीडियो देखे तो ज्यादा आंनद आएगा।
भारतवर्ष में कृष्ण जी को पूजा जाता है तथा उनका देवभूमि में होना हमारे लिए सौभाग्य की बात है। उत्तराखंड को देवभूमि कहा जाता है इसलिए नहीं की यहाँ मंदिर है ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि यहाँ के लोगो की भगवान के प्रति आस्था एवं प्रेम बहुत ही ज्यादा है। देवभूमि में जो मानगो वो प्राप्त होता है।

Gadhpati Gangu Ramola of Rampola Garh was the king here. Gangu Ramola was very old and had no children. Gangu Rampola's wife, Manavati was a worshiper of Krishna, on the other hand, Gangula Ramola did not believe so much about the divine powers.
Krishna ji is worshipped in India and it is a privilege to be in God's land.

Sem Mukhem Nagraja Ancient Temple - Uttarakhand

The Sem Mukhem Nagraja is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Krishna (who is also known as Nagraja). The Sem Mukhem Nagraja or the temple of the king of snakes is one of the famous Nagatirthas or snake pilgrimage sites in the whole of Indian sub continent. According to the followers this is the original layer of the Nag raja. The temple complex is very sturdily built and quite old. The style used in the architecture of Sem Mukhem Nagraja temple is very familiar with the style adopted to build the revered seat of Lord Shiva, the Kedarnath Temple. The door of the temple is very religiously built. It portrays the mythological scenario in which the Nag raja is spreading out his fan while the great proprietary god, Lord Vishnu is playing his flute atop the Nag raja.

After entering the sacred sanctum through this grand gate the travelers will see the self appeared or swambhu idol of the Nag raja. The natural beauty around the temple is very alluring. It pleases the travelers and the devotees alike. The verdant natural garden and the high mountain peak all around the temple valley making the sacred temple an embodiment of peacefulness and spirituality. On the way to Srinagar from Uttarakhand there is a little town named Godalia and for here only the visitors can travel up to New Tehri from where the road to Lambgaon Lake opens up. It from this juncture onwards, the travelling to Sem Mukhem Nagraja sacred temple and religious shrine begins. The visitors from all across the country come and visit the Sem Mukhem Nagraja for offering prayers and receiving blessings.

Further God said, You have been married for sixteen years, but you have no children. After hearing this, all the Nepalese became even more surprised, the first time they came to the temple, the thing that the god said was right. Then the God said that I will spare you that your next child will be born next year. But one will have to give an undertaking that you have to give birth in my temple. Nepali immediately instructed that my child will be Devta Maharaj, I will give you your caste. At that time the meaning of the slaughter was done with the sacrifice of the sheep. Now there is a ban on the sacrifice on the sacrifice system.

After some time after the work was over, their country went to Nepal. But five years later, a few Nepalese came to the temple after a few years ago. All the people in the area were surprised when the people came to know that this native has come from Nepal. Because Nepali had a son as per the God-given instructions.

Devotees go in trance at Goddess Annapurna at Nag Devta Temple in Uttarakhand as they start procession for Annapurna Temple yatra.

Annapurna temple, situated in world famous tourist spot Dodital opens its portals for the pilgrims. The sacred palanquin is taken with grand celebration by Aradhya Dev along with locals from Agoda village to Dodital. Before leaving for Agoda, the devotees gathered and worshipped holy palanquins.

Gangotri MLA Vijaypal Singh Sajwan is present on this auspicious occasion and announced grant of 1 lakh rupees for beautification of Nag Devta Temple in Dhasda village.
