Brikama Craft Market, GAMBIA
Do you love exploring craft markets when abroad? The Brikama market which I have visited in October last year was established in 1975. There are 57 craft stalls though there are over 200 members who make and sell their artwork and other products in the nearby area. Despite the hard work of craft men, the business at the market is declining mainly due to the high cost of transportation for the larger souvenirs.

You can literally buy almost everything on this market, Starting in the official clothing section, through the alley towards the vegetables. People don't like to be recorded here, but they don't notice it this way. The smells are great, you can recognize the market on the typical multi colored parasols around the 37 seconds in this video. We start off at Lemon Creek Hotel in Bijilo, then drive towards Senegambia Strip and then go down there after visiting the Kololi Police Station. After coming back up the strip, we take a left turn at Yasmina Restaurant and then drive down Duplex Road. After turning round at the bottom of Duplex Road where Poco Loco is, we then drive back to the main Bertil Harding Highway and take a left turn and head towards Badala Park Road in Kotu. After driving to the end where Koto Craft Market is, we finish off with a little sunset shot near Kotu Creek Bridge.
Penny Appeal Orphans show Jogonhijabi how to have fun on Kololi Beach Gambia Africa
Gambian songs and drumming flood the beach of Kololi. Children from Penny Appeal orphanages enjoy a day at the beach during their school holidays with Jogonhijabi and family.
Al-Amin from the local craft market sold Lynne the drum and when he heard it was for the orphans on the beach he said he would come down and play for them. He brought Ibrahim and Musa with him and they played and sang for couple of hours without expecting anything in return. It would be great to tell them how brilliant they are when you see them on the strip near the market at Senegambia Craft Market. Show them this video and tell them I said Salam! And it would be great if they could get a great job out of this too!

AUTHORITIES IN LATRI KUNDA SABIJI, THE GAMBIA HAVE ON SATURDAY EMBARKED SETSETAL
Complementing government of The Gambia's effort in ensuring clean and healthier environment, Kanifing Minicipal Council in collaboration with relevant stakeholders embarked on a cleaning exercise on Saturday at the Latri Kunda Market.
The move was in response to the monthly cleansing exercise called 'SET SETTAL,' that allow citizens to clean their respective environments.
