Senjojiki Cirque (2,612m) is a popular tourist destination in Japan for hiking. In the early autumn, leaves change color because of the higher altitude. This footage was captured on October 9th, 2019. It takes about 5 hours for the hiking route (Ropeway Senjojiki station - Mt. Nakadake - Mt. Komagatake - Nougaike Pond - Ropeway Senjojiki station).

千畳敷カールの絶景の紅葉の様子です。この映像は2019年台風19号が来る前の快晴の日に撮影されました。登山ハイキングルートは約5時間です（千畳敷駅-中岳-木曽駒ケ岳-馬の背-濃ヶ池-千畳敷駅）。

中央アルプス、千畳敷カール Day trip to Senjojiki Cirque on 22 Aug 2012.(NEX-5ND)
45年振りに、日帰りバス・ツアーで再び、千畳敷カールに立って見ました。
45年前、友人3名で木曽駒ヶ岳への登山の際、登山道脇で何か工事をやっている音を聞き、当時、聞いた金属音がこの日本で最初の山岳ロープウェイの鉄塔建設の為の工事だった事を後に成って知りました。
950mの高低差を僅か7.5分で 2,600m の日本最高位置にある千畳敷ロープウェイ駅まで我々を運んでくれるのは有難いです。
当日の気温約10℃で長袖の上着を一枚、羽折って丁度良い程で、しばし下界の酷暑を忘れてカメラ撮りをしていました。
