2002 Seoul World Cup Stadium and Museum - 서울월드컵경기장 와 기념관
Taking a non-escorted tour of the World Cup Stadium and Museum in Seoul. The course takes you first through the history of Korean football with exhibits from past years. You can roam the stands, see the field and head into the locker rooms in the back. Finally there's section and memorabilia dedicated to the 2002 World Cup and a gift shop at the end.

Also known as Sangam Stadium (서울월드컵경기장). This is my second time in Seoul. Just thought I’d visit a non-tourist place. Just where the locals hangout. And I’ll show you around :D

FC Seoul's Home. Seoul World Cup Stadium Review
My Visit to FC Seoul's World Cup Stadium and Museum. One of the Worlds Best Football stadiums. Great for kids, with an excellent museum, shop and cafe. With awesome interactive VR headsets.
Seoul World Cup Stadium got built to serve as one of the playing venues for the 2002 World Cup. It was constructed between 1998 and 2001, and officially opened on 10 November 2001.
During the World Cup, the stadium hosted the opening match between France and Senegal (0-1), another group match, and the semi-final between Germany and South Korea (1-0).
After the World Cup, it took two years for the stadium to find a permanent occupant until in 2004 the Anyang LG Cheetahs moved back to Seoul to form FC Seoul.
Seoul World Cup Stadium’s outstanding feature is its roof that is shaped like a traditional Korean kite, and which covers 90% of all seats. The stadium holds a total of 806 VIP seats and 75 sky boxes.

The Seoul World Cup Stadium is the largest football-only stadium in Asia. The stadium is shaped like a traditional Korean kite, and if seen from above, it looks as if a rectangular shield is being flown like a kite. The fiberglass fabric and polycarbonate glazing makes it look like it is made out of hanji – traditional Korean paper. At nighttime, the soft lighting illuminates throughout the stadium as if light shining through the paper of a traditional Korean lamp.
Aside from the main stadium, there is also a concert hall, a giant discount store, a cinema and the World Cup Memorial Hall. It is also home to the K-League (Korean football league) and the football club, FC Seoul. The stadium is open to the public for tours on non-game days.
