Sera Ella (Sinhala:සේර ඇල්ල) is a waterfall located in Pothatawela village, a place near Laggala in the Matale District of Sri Lanka. It is formed by the waters of Kitul Canal which runs down Kaudagammana peak and the Hunumadala River, which flows from the mountains of Gonamada and Deyuthu Gammmaduwa, combining to form the Puwakpitiya River, a waterway which joins Thelgamu Oya to create the waterfall at its point of joining

Riverston | Sera Ella | Mini World's End - Infinity Sri Lanka
The Riverston Peak in Sri Lanka can be reached by traveling, about 30km away from the Matale town, down the Matale – Girandurukotte Road. This secretive windy road, with its sharp hairpin turns, offers some of the best views to the surrounding countryside; to the extent that it is called the Mini World’s End. Though it is very popular among locals, the area is comparatively unknown among st mainstream tourists.

Sera Ella (a.k.a. Seralla) is a very attractive twin waterfall situated in the village of Poththatawela, in Laggala DSD of Matale District, Sri Lanka. This 10 m waterfall is formed in the Puwakpitiya Oya, which later joins Theligam Oya.
The fall can be reached by continuing 3.2 km passing the Pitawala Pathana along the famous Riverston Road (B274), and then turning at Puwakpitiya. From the Puwakpitiya Junction it is yet another 9 km to the fall along a rural road cutting across the Dumbara forest.
One of the unique features of this waterfall, is the cave located behind the fall. Steps have been cut to reach this cave and can be safely reached even when the fall is at full flow.
Sera Ella flows magnificently all year around, but is at its fullest during the monsoon season, between November and March.

ඉතා ආකර්ෂණීය ද්විත්ව දිය ඇල්ලක් වන සේර ඇල්ල (හෙවත් සේරැල්ල) පිහිටා ඇත්තේ, ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මාතලේ දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ ලග්ගල ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාශයේ පොත්තටවෙල ග්‍රාමය ආශ්‍රිතවයි. මීටර් 10ක් උසැති මෙම ඇල්ල, තෙලිගම් ඔයට එක්වන පුවක්පිටිය ඔය මගින් නිර්මාණය කර ඇත.
මාතලේ සිට දිවෙන සුප්‍රකට රිවර්ස්ටන් මාර්ගයේ (B274) පිටවල පතන පසු කරමින් කි.මී. 3.2ක් ගමන් කර, පුවක්පිටියෙන් හැරී තවත් කි.මී. 9ක් පමණ දුම්බර වනපෙත හරහා වැටුණු දුෂ්කර මඟක් ඔස්සේ සේර ඇල්ලට ළඟා විය හැකිය.
මෙම දිය ඇල්ලේ සුවිශේෂී අංගයක් වන්නේ ඇල්ල පසුපසින් පිහිටි ගුහාවයි. දිය ඇල්ල විශාලතම ජල කඳක් සහිතව ගලා යද්දීත් මෙම ගුහාවට ආරක්ෂිතව පිවිසිය හැකිවන පරිදි පියගැට පෙළක් සකසා ඇත.
සේර ඇල්ල වසර මුළුල්ලේ ම සුන්දර ලෙස ගලා යන නමුත්, නොවැම්බර් සහ මාර්තු අතර මෝසම් කාලයේ දී වඩාත් වැඩි ජල කඳක් දැක ගත හැකි වේ.
