Belgrade Street Walk Tour|Exploring Serbia| First Time in Serbia
The #tour around the city was very exciting to me. Street are amazing place to observe the culture of every country. Grab opportunity to arrive in #Belgrade. in following video i'll explain you about the #visa processing.
Welcome here on #EARTHiZEN.
#Serbia is a country in the southeastern #Europe, located in the heart of the #Balkan Peninsula, where a vast majority of its 7 million #citizens are #Serbs, and the rest belong to any of the 40 different national communities. Being a country of #hospitable, emotional and joyful people, who possess a sense for sportsmanship, extraordinary traditions, and a huge cultural heritage that enriches the entire European culture, Serbia is one of those marks on a map of the world you need to discover and experience.
If you were to select two words that best describe the Serbian people it would have to be temperamental and hospitable. Thanks to those qualities of your hosts, you will always have a great time in Serbia and feel like you’ve never even left home.
#Serbia is the home to around 40 different #nationalities, while each of them made their own mark on the population’s collective spirit.
Kosovo and Metohija not included, the total population stands at 7,120,666.
The population majority are Serbs – 82.86 percent, while its many minorities are: Hungarians (3.91 percent), Bosniaks (1.82 percent), Roma people (1.44 percent), Yugoslavs (1.08 percent), Croats (0.94 percent), Montenegrins (0.92 percent), Albanians (0.82 percent), and others. The highest number of minorities is in Vojvodina.
People who enjoy festivals and celebrations
The temperamental and cheerful people in #Serbia always find a way to #happiness and joking, even when it appears there isn’t one. The traditional festivities that bring entertainment, music and gourmand in abundance are a right place to get acquainted with the playful and cheerful temper of the citizens of #Serbia.

SERBIA WILL SURPRISE YOU! Belgrade First Impressions | Serbia Travel Vlog

Serbia... wow! Didn't expect we'd be in Belgrade making travel vlogs if you asked us a few years ago, but here we are, and we LOVE Belgrade! This place is an amazing, and very underrated, travel destination - let us show you why.
In this vlog we sort of cover both our initial impressions of Belgrade, how we feel about Serbia, our surprises and then at the end wrap it up after we've stayed for 2 weeks in Serbia. Theres lots of things to do in Belgrade - we visit the Fortress, explore a cute park, find an amazing restaurant scene, scope out the nightlife spots, eat some local(ish) food, check out the shopping scene and try some local craft beer.
First impressions last, or so they say, and it's true for Belgrade. How we felt on the first day is exactly how things stayed a few weeks later - it's amazing! We also took a road trip to Novi Sad for the day with friends, another popular spot in Serbia, but we weren't filming that day sorry.
Moral of the story - consider places like Serbia, cities like Belgrade, locations that the masses don't always chat about and share online. These are the cities and experiences we love, places like Belgrade are why we travel - hidden gems that we get to experience, travel, vlog and share with you... thanks us later.

When I had the opportunity to travel to Serbia, I jumped at the chance! I've always been fascinated in the country, but known very little about it. We were only in Belgrade (the capital) for three days, so took full advantage of our time here. You'll see from the vlog we tried to fit in as much as possible, from partying, to shooting, to Serbian lessons and eating!
Hope you like it guys, it was a lot of fun to film, but do let me know if you have any suggestions for future vlogs, places, things to see and improvements are always welcome!
A special thanks to Yana for helping us with our Serbian, showing us around and also introducing us to breakfast, Serbian style!

VISIT SERBIA - CITY OF BELGRADE
Belgrade is the capital and largest city of Serbia. It is located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, where the Pannonian Plain meets the Balkans. Its name translates to White city. The city proper has a population of over 2 million people.
One of the most important prehistoric cultures of Europe, the Vinča culture, evolved within the Belgrade area in the 6th millennium BC. In antiquity, Thraco-Dacians inhabited the region, and after 279 BC Celts conquered the city, naming it Singidūn. It was conquered by the Romans during the reign of Augustus, and awarded city rights in the mid 2nd century. It was settled by the Slavs in the 520s, and changed hands several times between the Byzantine Empire, Frankish Empire, Bulgarian Empire and Kingdom of Hungary before it became the capital of Serbian King Stephen Dragutin (1282--1316). In 1521, Belgrade was conquered by the Ottoman Empire and became the seat of the Sanjak of Smederevo. It frequently passed from Ottoman to Habsburg rule, which saw the destruction of most of the city during the Austro-Ottoman wars. Belgrade was again named the capital of Serbia in 1841. Northern Belgrade remained the southernmost Habsburg post until 1918, when the city was reunited. As a strategic location, the city was battled over in 115 wars and razed to the ground 44 times. Belgrade was the capital of Yugoslavia (in various forms of governments) from its creation in 1918, to its final dissolution in 2006.
Belgrade has a special administrative status within Serbia and it is one of five statistical regions of Serbia. Its metropolitan territory is divided into 17 municipalities, each with its own local council. It covers 3.6% of Serbia's territory, and 22.5% of the country's population lives in the city. The city has been awarded many titles, and the nomination for European Capital of Culture 2020.
Houseboats on Ada Ciganlija
Extreme sports are available, such as bungee jumping, water skiing, and paintballing. There are numerous tracks on the island, where it is possible to ride a bike, go for a walk, or go jogging. Apart from Ada, Belgrade has total of 16 islands on the rivers, many still unused. Among them, the Great War Island at the confluence of Sava, stands out as an oasis of unshattered wildlife (especially birds). These areas, along with nearby Small War Island, are protected by the city's government as a nature preserve. Tourist income is annually around 800 million Euros. In 2012, Belgrade visited 976.674 registered tourists. From that number 771.299 were foreign. Also more than 100.000 tourists arrive by 850 river cruisers.
Belgrade has a reputation for offering a vibrant nightlife; many clubs that are open until dawn can be found throughout the city. The most recognizable nightlife features of Belgrade are the barges (splav), spread along the banks of the Sava and Danube Rivers.
Belgrade nightlife on riverclubs.
Many weekend visitors—particularly from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia—prefer Belgrade nightlife to that of their own capitals, due to a perceived friendly atmosphere, great clubs and bars, cheap drinks, the lack of language difficulties, and the lack of restrictive night life regulation.
Famous alternative clubs include Akademija and the famed KST (Klub Studenata Tehnike), located in the basement of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Electrical Engineering. One of the most famous sites for alternative cultural happenings in the city is the SKC (Student Cultural Centre), located right across from Belgrade's highrise landmark, the Beograđanka. Concerts featuring famous local and foreign bands are often held at the center. SKC is also the site of various art exhibitions, as well as public debates and discussions.
Skadarlija, the city's old bohemian neighbourhood
A more traditional Serbian nightlife experience, accompanied by traditional music known as Starogradska (roughly translated as Old Town Music), typical of northern Serbia's urban environments, is most prominent in Skadarlija, the city's old bohemian neighborhood where the poets and artists of Belgrade gathered in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Skadar Street (the centre of Skadarlija) and the surrounding neighbourhood are lined with some of Belgrade's best and oldest traditional restaurants (called kafanas in Serbian), which date back to that period. At one end of the neighbourhood stands Belgrade's oldest beer brewery, founded in the first half of the 19th century. One of the city's oldest kafanas is the Znak pitanja.
The Times reported that Europe's best nightlife can be found in buzzing Belgrade. In the Lonely Planet 1000 Ultimate Experiences guide of 2012, Belgrade was placed at the 1st spot among the top 10 party cities in the world.

This is my first full day exploring Serbia! It's the first full day of my backpacking trip, so it is an exciting one! On my first day exploring alone I discuss my first impressions of Belgrade Serbia, and how I feel traveling as a solo female traveler. I found the locals to be incredibly helpful, but had a few problems with the tourism industry (Which is to be expected).
I also try Serbian food for the first time, visit a fortress, a church, and a park.

----------------------------------------------------------------
These are top 5 cities of Serbia:
Belgrade:
Belgrade is the capital city of Serbia and one of Europe's oldest cities. It is a modern city and a political, administrative and cultural center of the country. The archaeological sites are found in great numbers in this part of the city in very distant history. There are many inviting places in Belgrade such as the Stambol gate, Belgrade fortress Old palace and many others. To get a better understanding of the history of the country, the historical museums in Belgrade will give you a pretty good picture of its past.
Novi Sad:
Novi Sad is an elegant city with graceful parks, bars and outdoor cafes. The city is rather young and hosts one of Serbia’s largest music festivals. Novi Sad is the capital of the province of Vojvodina, an autonomous region with 6 official languages and 26 ethnic groups. As compared to most of the cities in the Balkans, it is more ornate and colourful with intriguing architecture. Novi Sad is also set to be the European Capital of Culture in 2021, and the only city in Europe that will be holding such a prestigious title.
Subotica:
Subotica is a small multicultural city with only one hundred thousand inhabitants. The languages are diverse in this city as much as its religion. A traveller is always enchanted by its marvellous architecture which is built in so many different art style and age. Most of the buildings are adorned with beautiful ceramic tiles, wood carvings, floral motifs and stained glass window. Subotica also has great natural wealth with Lake Palic being the most visited attractions in the city.
Kopaonik National park
Kopaonik is one of the biggest mountain range in the country, and in 1981, it was proclaimed a National Park. The beauty of the mountain comes from the reliefs of evergreen forests, mountain peaks and oceanic Turquoise Mountain where you can see the distant Stara Planina and Sara Mountain and its breathless sight. A large number of rare plant species makes the national park an important biodiversity area in Serbia.
Tara National Park
The Tara National Park was entitled a National Park in 1981 located in western Serbia. The park is known for its thick forests, beautiful peaks and deep caves. There are boat trips and river rafting organised by the park to the Drina River Gorge. It has varieties of plants and animal species. Along the course of mountain streams and rivers, the waterfall is also part of the impressive beauty. The park has facilities with great accommodation along with children’s camp area.
