Enjoying a bike tour of Thuy Bieu Village in Hue, Vietnam, before heading out to my next destination in Vietnam.
Located near the center of Hue imperial city, Thuy Bieu village is known for its serenity, immense grapefruit gardens and hundreds of years old houses. The name Thuy Bieu may originate from the three sides of Thuy Bieu village surrounded by romantic Perfume River (Thuy means water and Bieu means a gourd).

World’s Greatest Spas aired in 75 countries back in 1999 - 2001… It was a co-production with Credo Entertainment and Midcan Productions airing on the WTN Network. I edited 26 episodes of that tv series. Back then - the editor was usually given a VHS copy of the show. And that’s what this is. Oh my, VHS. What a wonderful format to preserve memories. Not. I found this tape and digitized it before it deteriorated even further. I’d gladly upload a better version if it existed. Derek, if you’re reading this - and you still have the Beta masters… this is a hint. ha ha. The series starred the wonderfully talented comedian and actress, Brigitte Gall, seeking out the world’s greatest spa experiences. This episode takes place at Westglow Spa in North Carolina. I did find the original animated opening from Adam Rickner which I cut into the show - so at least it’s not all vhs. This was my first tv series editing experience and I have to say - I was very fond of dissolves back then. So. I've taken them all out. Believe me - you’d thank me if you saw the original. Thanks to Derek Mazur, Brenda Kovitz, Andrew Koster, Adam Rickner, Tony Wytinck, Howard Rissin, Greg Lowe, Dylan Mazur, David McGunigal and so many more, that got this show on the air. A trip to Hue, Vietnam was exciting and filled with fun and adventure.
We discovered that the Truong Tien Bridge was designed by the same architect that designed the Eiffel Tower (Gustave Effiel), a fascinating fact.
Also be sure to check out the Dong Ba Market just across the bridge from most hotels.
The Moonlight Hotel was an excellent place to stay. The location was perfect, right on a walking street where all the night life is. Be sure to pick the Riverside Room as it has the best view of the city :)
