Surprise on Curacao for Cruise Ship Tourist

A lovely husband approached us with a request to help him plan his wife's 40th Birthday on Curacao. They arrived early in the morning and were greeted by a filmcrew that wanted to produce a fake commercial loaded with funny bloopers. Then the family was escorted to one of Curacao's most beautiful beaches for an intimate Lunch on the Beach. Despite the weather, the decorator and the caterer did an awesome job! Once back from a pleasant swim, the family arrived near the Port where they were suprised with a Farewell Surprise Party. Thanks to all the tourists, friends and vendors that made this an unforgettable birthday celebration!

Today we leave the ship to to explore on our own. The excursions that were offered were not anything we really wanted to do. We were assured the area was safe by the lovely staff on the Norwegian Pearl and so we decided to just walk around.
We felt so safe walking along the street alone. Ariel found a backpack that she liked and I overpaid for it. We happened upon a street market of sorts that seemed to go on forever. Mostly locals there which was nice. We even found ourselves inside a grocery store. This was a great adventure.
