A Day at Serpentine Falls (A Western Australian Hidden Gem)
It gets very hot during summer here in Perth.
Of course there is the river, plenty of beaches where you can go sunbathing, swimming and surfing to but they are usually overcrowded.
A pristine place in the middle of nowhere (although it's just one hour from perth) it's a better choice to relax and refresh.
So in a hot day, me and Jo packed the essential, jumped on the car and drove to Serpentine Falls.

Serpentine Falls Western Australia
Top little dive this, always used to find goodies in here, like watches, old coins, sometimes rings. Not anymore, since they build the new concrete access stairs. Good for getting in and out though. Last dive found a little cave at the back. Will sidemount a couple of seven's next time I go there and check it out. Lot's of leeches in here too so cover-up.

We found some sunshine in the rain to fly the mavic, but there were a few dashes to the car to get out of the rain. LOL

spent a beautiful winters day in the Serpentine Falls National Park,
Flew the DJI Spark drone and got some epic aerial views of the park, met a couple of friendly Kangaroos.
$13 for a day pass in to the national park.
definitely worth the price, could spend hours exploring the tracks and having a picnic lunch.

Serpentine Falls in Serpentine National Park WA
Lesmurdie Falls - Western Australia
The Lesmurdie Brook tumbles 50 metres down the face of the Darling Scarp forming a set of waterfalls during winter and early spring.
The falls can be approached from below or above and it is advisable to take care as the wet rocks can be slippery.
The park is most popular from August to September when wildflowers are most in evidence. The park is just 22 kilometres east of Perth.
Facilities include toilets, seats, tables, shelters, BBQ, bins and walk trails.
Walk Trails.
The Falls Trail. 640m return, Easy, 30 minutes.
The Shoulder Trail. 1.5km return, Moderate, 1 hour.
The Cascade Trail. 300m return, Moderate, 30 minutes.
The Foot of the Falls Trail. 2km return, Moderate, 1 hour.
The Valley Loop Trail. 3km return, Moderate, 2 hours.
