The Orchid Research Centre, Tipi or Tipi Orchidarium is located about six kilometres before Bhalukpong, the border of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. It stretches over an area of 10 hectares of flat land comprising of office buildings, orchidaria, tissue culture lab., Museum, herbarium and garden.
About 10,000 orchid plants belonging to various genera and species are under cultivation in these houses ensuring ex-situ conservation.

Eagle's Nest Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area of India in the Himalayan foothills of West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. It conjoins Sessa Orchid Sanctuary to the northeast and Pakhui Tiger Reserve across the Kameng river to the east. Altitude ranges are extreme: from 500 metres (1,640 ft) to 3,250 metres (10,663 ft). It is a part of the Kameng Elephant Reserve.
Eaglenest is notable as a prime birding site due to the extraordinary variety, numbers and accessibility of species.

TOP 10 PLACES TO VISIT IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH
Arunachal Pradesh holds the most north-eastern position of this country. It borders the states of Assam and Nagaland to the south, and shares international borders with Bhutan in the west, Burma in the east and the country of Tibet in the north. Exploring Arunachal's magnificent landscape tops the list; other activities include adventure sports, visiting cultural attractions and trekking.
1) Tawang Monastery
It is located 10000 feet above Mean Sea Level. The 400-year-old Tawang monastery is the largest monastery in India and second largest in the world after the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. The monastery is three stories high. It belongs to the Gelug school of Mahayana Buddhism and had a religious association with Drepung Monastery of Lhasa.
2) Sessa Orchid and Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary
Located in Bomdila. Sessa Orchid Sanctuary covers more than 100 square km area of land. Doimara and Tenga reserve forests form a part of this sanctuary. Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary covers an area of 217 square km. It is home to various birds like eagle, hornbill, kingfishers, ducks, Bengal tiger, langur, Asian elephant, black bear, red panda and many more.
3) Mehao and Sally Lake
Both the lakes are easily accessible from Roing. Dense green forest with beautiful flowers and plants make it a photographer’s delight. There is a town, located at the foothill of the Mishmi Hill, it is lively with friendly people. Reh festival of Idu Mishmi is celebrated in the month of February 1 while Solung festival of Adi in September 1 every year with great joy.
4) Namdapha National Park And Tiger Reserve
It is the largest protected area in the Eastern Himalaya biodiversity hotspot. The park covers a massive 1985.23 square kms of land, which has a wide range of flora and fauna.
5) Meghna Cave Temple
This ancient cave temple dates back to 5000 years. It is situated at Daporijo and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located at an altitude of 300 feet, the temple offers stunning views of the surrounding area.
6) Ita Fort
It is one of the most important historical sites in the state. The fort has an irregular shape, built mainly with bricks dating back to the 14th-15th Century. Given the fact that the fort was built in an area that is far from being a comfortable place for construction adds value to the fort and highlights the workmanship.
7) Tibetan Refugee Settlement Camp
It is one of the oldest settlements for Tibetan refugees and is located 4 km away from Miao. The camp boasts of producing superior quality carpets, a larger portion of which goes to the global market. A beautiful Buddhist monastery in the mid of camp is one of the major attraction for the tourist.
8) Komsing
This is the place where the British had erected an epitaph/memorial stone of Sir N.Willamson who was killed by Narmi Manmur Jamoh. There is also a long and high suspension bridge constructed by the British.

Ganga lake is blessed with crystal clear blue water and reflection of Himalayan ranges on water gives beautiful scenery. This place is surrounded by pine and bamboo groves. Fish Farm is a popular tourist attraction where breeding of high altitude fishes is done. Kameng River in Bhalukpong town, Arunachal Pradesh
Bhalukpong is a small town located along the southern reaches of the Himalayas in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in India. The town is located at 213m above sea level, 100 km from Bomdila, 52 km from Tezpur and 5 km from Tipi. It lies along the Kameng river and is the headquarters of Bhalukpong circle. A road leads to Bomdila via the Tipi Orchidariurm, and the inner line check post is located at Bhalukpong.
Bhalukpong was governed by local tribal Aka rulers, with occasional political dominance from Bhutan and Assam. Ahom rulers of Assam did not interfere with the local tribals, except for retaliatory raids into the tribal territory. In 1873, the British had declared the area around Bhalukpong as off-limits.
Fish angling and river rafting are the principal tourist activities in Bhalukpong. Tourist attractions in Bhalukpong include the Pakhui Game Sanctuary and Tipi Orchidariurm, which hosts over 2600 cultivated orchids from 80 different species.
The annual festival Nyethidow of the Aka tribe is celebrated in january at Bhalukpong,Thrizino . Bhalukpong is inhabited by members of the Aka Tribes.

It is one of the major tributaries of the Brahmaputra River, joining it at Tezpur, just east of the Kolia Bhomora Setu bridge.The Kameng River is about 264 kilometres (164 mi) long. Its drainage basin is about 11,843 square kilometres (4,573 sq mi) large.The Kameng forms the boundary between East Kamemg District and West Kameng Districts and is also the boundary between the Sessa and Eaglenest sanctuaries to its west and the Pakke tiger reserve to the east. The Dafla Hills are east and the Aka Hills (home of Aka tribe) are west of the Kameng River. It is situated in the North-Eastern part of India with 83743 sq. kms area and has a long international border with Bhutan to the west (160 km), China to the north and north-east (1,080 km) and Myanmar to the east (440 km). From Guwahati to Tezpur we traveled by shared taxi. From Tezpur we hired a car for the Arunachal trip and started for Dirang in the morning. Starting from a height of 700 feet above the sea level at Bhalukpong, we started the climb at Sessa and reach 6000 feet at Nechiphu Pass, climbed down to 4000 at Tenga Rupa Valley and surged up to 8500 feet at Bomdila.
