900 Years of Hate | Derby Days Lombardia | Brescia Calcio v Atalanta B.C.
You know Milan,
You know its world famous football clubs.
You know its world famous derby.
But what you probably didn't know, is that in the same region of Italy just 40 minutes up the road, there's two other clubs who have just as fascinating rivalry of their own that involves tanks, pigs, and medieval battles, but hasn't seen a derby in thirteen years.
Until now.
Off the back of our insane trip to Superclåsico in Buenos Aires, Derby Days is back for season 5 and this time it's all about The Wait. The intense rivalries between clubs from England to Germany to Italy that haven’t met for 7, 8 even 13 years. What happens to a rivalry when there’s an absence of meetings? Is it a case of absence makes the heart grow fonder or is the rivalry even more heated thanks to the anxious wait?
In Episode 3, the final episode for this season, we head to Lombardy, Italy, for the first derby in more than a decade between Brescia Calcio and Atalanta B.C. Two clubs who share a rivalry that goes way beyond football and into every facet of local culture from the dialect to the food to the culture of war and violence in the region. Despite being provincial neighbours, different time spent in different divisions meant the two had been suffering their longest derby drought, until this season, where they would both finally meet in Serie A.
A massive thank you to all involved who helped, for whom without, making this film wouldn't be possible. In particular, Tobias, PiereLuigi, Ale, both Andrea's, Leo, Michaeli, Dario, Gian, Chiara, Matteo, Guilia, Tommy, and of course Claudio.
A special thank you Gav for 75 per cent of the title.

Greyhounds racing, Belle Vue Greyhound Stadium, Manchester, England, United Kingdom
Belle Vue Stadium is a greyhound racing track in Belle Vue, Manchester, where the very first race around an oval track in Britain was held on 24 July 1926. It is also used for speedway as the home ground of Elite League team Belle Vue Aces since 1988 and since 1999 has British Stock Car Association (BriSCA), the British governing body for stock car racing and banger racing. The stadium holds a number of BriSCA events and has become one of the most popular venues in the North-West of England. The track has always been the property of Greyhound Racing Association Ltd. (GRA), which has invested heavily in it right through to the current day. The stadium offers luxury glass-fronted grandstands, restaurant, hospitality boxes, and several bars. Greyhound racing takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings. In 1925 Charles A. Munn, an American businessman, made a deal with Smith and Sawyer for the rights to promote the greyhound racing in Britain. Although the earlier attempt to introduce mechanical racing at Hendon had almost been forgotten, the pastime of coursing was as strong as ever in Britain. Fortunately for Munn, the first person he contacted with regards to reintroducing greyhound racing into Britain was Major L. Lyne Dixson. The Major was a leading figure in British field sports and was quickly won over to the idea presented to him by the American entrepreneur. Finding other supporters proved to rather difficult however. With the General Strike of 1926 looming, the two men scoured the country in an attempt to find others who would join them. Eventually they met Brigadier-General Alfred Critchley, who in turn introduced them to Sir William Gentle JP. Between them they raised £22,000 and formed the Greyhound Racing Association Ltd. When deciding where to situate their new stadium, Manchester was considered to be the ideal place because of its sporting and gambling links. Close to the city centre, the consortium erected the first custom-built greyhound stadium and called it Belle Vue, where the very first race around an oval track in Britain was held on 24 July 1926. More than 1,700 people were attracted to the meeting where they watched a greyhound called Mistley win over 440 yards (402 m). By June 1927, the stadium was attracting almost 70,000 visitors a week. Six races with seven dogs in each race were held in the first meeting. Fifty years later a stand was named after Mistley, the winner of the first race. Running the quarter-mile flat course in 25 seconds, Mistley romped home eight lengths clear at 6–1. Belle Vue increased the number of runners per race to seven, but after the formation of the NGRC in 1928 the maximum number of dogs per race was limited to six. Since 2007 protests have been held against greyhound racing at Belle Vue. Greyhound Action, an animal rights organisation which campaigned for an end to greyhound racing, held weekly protests outside the races each Saturday and occasionally on Fridays. In 2010 The Belle Vue Greyhound Action Group also organized and held a series of demonstrations to protest at the entertainer Dara O'Briain's participation in greyhound racing. Campaigners at Belle Vue got an article published in the Irish press about O'Briain's greyhound, Snip Nua, which it is believed was the first ever in the Irish press to state that racing greyhounds are killed for economic reasons. In 2008 the Sunday Times revealed that Belle Vue dogs were being sent for research at Liverpool vets school by trainer Richard Fielding. Further instances of injury were highlighted in 2014, when a trial session was halted after several dogs sustained serious injuries and one death. In 2010 concerns were raised about the high injury rates at Belle Vue. Since Greyhound Action disbanded in 2011, the protests have been held by a protest group who call themselves Shut down Belle Vue. A 2012 article in the Sunday Express also called the kennels of two Belle Vue trainers, Beverly Heaton and Nigel Saunders, disgusting. The article alleged that dogs were kept in cramped dilapidated kennels without heating and in some cases doors and that faeces and urine had not been adequately removed. A greyhound protection group, Greytexploitations, provided video footage to substantiate allegations of the poor conditions, these included the image of a Greyhound skull on a dog waste heap. In January 2014 Caged North West held a protest demo at Manchester's Deansgate Hilton hotel against the Greyhound Board of Great Britain's awards night. Around 400 protesters attended the demo but despite this the event failed to be mentioned by the media. CAGED NW publicized the event. In July 2014 CAGED NW and other greyhound protection groups held a remembrance event in Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens, held on the 88th anniversary of the opening of Belle Vue. The event featured a service by a church minister and a fly past by a light aircraft carrying a banner displaying the words YOU BET THEY DIE.

Craziest horse racing DEBUT ever - #6 Pakistan Stars from Last to First!! Hong Kong (2016)
Griffin wins are usually just a pointer, a guide to something better to come somewhere off in the distance but the here and now was frighteningly good when Tony Cruz-trained Pakistan Star produced one of the performances of the season to win his debut on Friday.
A HK$6 million buy in March at the Jockey Club’s international sale, despite a few issues with his breeze-up, Pakistan Star (Matthew Chadwick) did a nice impression of another son of Shamardal, Able Friend, in a breathtaking performance that saw him post a finishing sprint of 21.2 seconds, seven-tenths of a second faster than the next best all day and one of only two horses to crack 22 seconds.
As he had done in his barrier trials, German-bred Pakistan Star began very slowly to be conspicuously last after 100 metres but it only got worse from there, as he struggled to stay in touch with the field and drifted to some five or six lengths behind the second-last horse at the 800m mark.
Tickets might have been torn up and some bad language used at that stage of the race but the turnaround was titanic – Pakistan Star tacked on to the stragglers getting to the home straight, then unleashed a stunning final 400m to win going away by almost two lengths, with Chadwick sitting up on the line.
“I don’t think he beat anything special, the griffin races haven’t been that impressive so I did say to the owners that I thought he had a blowout chance today,” said Chadwick. “Today was about his ability more than where he’s at mentally.”
The first blow to Pakistan Star’s chance came on declaration day when he came up with gate 14 of 14 but Chadwick said that he almost saw that as a plus.
“In these griffin races, with so many inexperienced horses, you never know if they’ll go fast or slow. So from the outside, if he was slow out as I expected, I thought at least he’ll have some room,” Chadwick explained. “From an inside gate, if he missed the jump, he could get cooped up inside. He’s very quirky, he looks after himself a bit. Mentally, he’s not there, which we’ve known ever since his breeze-up before the sale, but he is making progress in trackwork and learning all the time.”

My City Could Beat Up Your City | Derby Days South Coast | Portsmouth v Southampton
Take two towns steeped in war, tragedy and violence add a deep passion for local football and pit them against each other and you have one hell of a Derby Day.
Off the back of our insane trip to Superclåsico in Buenos Aires, Derby Days is back for season 5 and this time it's all about The Wait.
The intense rivalries between clubs that haven’t met for a prolonged amount of time, be it, 7, 9 or even 10 years… until of course this season.
What happens to a rivalry when there’s an absence of meetings, is it a case of absence makes the heart grow fonder or is the rivalry is even more heated thanks to the anxious wait?
Across England, Germany and Italy, Eli is here to find out.
First up, it's the South Coast derby. Perhaps the rarest played major derby in the UK and certainly one of the most ferocious, thanks to two cities and sets of fans who have a hell of a lot of passion, pride, and personality as well as an edge you wouldn't want to cross.
It's Portsmouth v Southampton for the first time in Seven years, in the Third round of the Carabao Cup and just like every other time they've met, there’s going to be scenes.
A massive thank you to Rob, Rob Rich, Eddie, Jake, Nick, Phil, Ian, Stuart, Eugene, Alex, Wicksy, Sulley, Lloyd, Tayler, Tony, Ollie, Coco, Milts, and of course Jay and Duncan, plus SouthSea Coffee, The Three Marines pub, The Saints Pub, Kendal Kaff, The Marriott’s family, Portsmouth Central Library, Moneyfields Boxing, The Milton Arms, The Bluebell pub and everyone else who contributed to Derby Days: South Coast.
This film wouldn’t have been possible without your welcoming, trust, help, hospitality and of course your unique passion for your clubs and this intense rivalry.
Long live the South Coast Derby!

Liverpool and Everton fans face fight for soul of football in the city
Fans of Liverpool and Everton have experienced many highs and lows, but never such a concentrated period of change as they’re both going through now. Liverpool, with the regeneration of Anfield, a ground criticised recently for lacking atmosphere and Everton, set to become the first club to move away from Stanley Park, a shared connection between the pair since 1892. Paul MacInnes talks to lifelong supporters of both clubs to find out how they’re coping with the developments.
Chelsea's Tomori who was Lampard's star performer at Derby has choice of three countries to represen
COLLOSSUS Fikayo Tomori has shone for Chelsea's kids so far this season, becoming an instant favourite with Blues fans. The centre-back, who starred for Frank Lampard's Derby team last season and finished his loan campaign as a surprise player of the year at Pride Park, scored a screamer in a 5-2 rout of Wolves. And he's coupled that effort with some astute defending against the Premier League's finest. In fact, Lampard was quick to single out the Canadian-born star's performance against Liverpool. The 6ft 1in centre back was tasked with marking Egyptian hotshot Mo Salah, and his manager couldn't have been more pleased with his application. I have to single out Tomori as well, to go up against Salah. Everything he did today was class, Lampard said and he wasn't wrong. BLUES BATTLE Tomori spent six months with Brighton, a season at Hull, before his breakthrough campaign with the Rams last year. And now, 12 years after joining Chelsea as a seven-year-old, Tomori knows that he must make his mark. There are players out on loan like Kurt Zouma, Jake Clarke-Salter as well, Kalas, so many great players in my position and everyone is vying for that same spot, he told the Guardian in May. Whatever the circumstances, it’s going to be difficult but you just have to try and do your best to make an impression. That former academy boss Jody Morris is alongside Lampard at the helm will also help Tomori, who featured in several preseason games before his Premier League bow this term. You can see the way [Lampard's] mind works, the way he thinks about the game and that he has played at a really high level, he said. And because the manager and Jody played at such a high level, they have high standards for themselves and high standards for the team, as do we, and I think that comes through on the pitch.” Where Tomori is in control of his future is on the international stage. There is currently a three-way tussle for the youngster. He was born in Calgary to Nigerian parents but moved to the UK at an early age. WANTED MAN Canada were the first team to pounce. He captained the Under-20 team at the age of 18, once leading Canada to victory over an England team that included Marcus Rashford and Harry Winks in 2016. But later that year, he made his first appearance for an England youth team, representing the U19s. In 2017, Tomori was part of the Three Lions U20 squad that won the World Cup in South Korea. He was at the heart of the defence, alongside Chelsea team-mate Clarke-Salter, when Paul Simpson's Young Lions beat Venezuela and lifted the World Cup. But Tomori is yet to commit himself to one nation. Canada gave me that platform to showcase myself, but just before the Euros I got called up by England, he said last year. Growing up in England and playing for Chelsea, I wanted to play for England. It was a difficult decision, and I took a lot of time debating it, but after that we won the World Cup so I think it was a good deci
