Scenic/Historic Hwy - Avenue of the Giants - Coastal Redwoods, California
Drive and hike with us as we explore this scenic highway in northern California, CA route 254. The road gets its name from the giant coastal Redwood trees that cast shadows on the road below. The road winds alongside the scenic Eel River and connects several small towns.

Discovering the giant redwood trees at Muir Woods National Monument
Travel video blog about our day trip to Muir Woods in California, United States.
Our visit took place on 24 June 2018.
Located approximately 12 miles (19 kilometers) North of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the Muir Woods National Monument encompasses an area of 552 acres of which 240 acres are growth coast redwood. The forest has numerous hiking trails and it’s a very popular destination for tourists, especially during the summer months.
We only had a few hours to explore the forest (around 4 hours), but we could easily have spent a day in the area to explore the surrounds.
Because the forest is so popular among tourists, it’s important to do some planning before your visit. One thing to consider is that the car parking around the area is very busy and it needs to be booked ahead of time to guarantee a spot, especially if you are visiting in the summer months and over the weekends. You can make a reservation for a car parking spot though this link:
The Muir woods National Monument is a place that should be on everyone’s bucket list while visiting San Francisco. You can easily spend a day exploring the amazing sights, landscapes and everything that the park has to offer. The road journey that leads to the park is also very scenic and beautiful.

What is this creature in Redwood Forest?
Not a joke. Not a hoax. i swear on my life this is real. I swear that I may be sent to hell for eternity when I die and god will hate me forever, that this is 100% real, not a hoax. My camera cannot record sound or else I would have put it on their. But it relates to a woman screaming at the top of her lungs in danger, trying to sound like a wolf or a cyote. Nothing had this sound before nothing I've ever heard before. And we looked up the sound, looked up the beast's features, looked up the tracks, looked up all the artifacts it had left in our minds, and nothing relates to it. I think it is an alien, the way it sounds, my friend says it is an ape-bear or something. There were some pictures, they were all not similar to this, faked photos, I can tell what is fake and what is real now. Believe me! I am not lying! People look at these pictures I had found to the one on my tape. This one picture is the closest I had found: yes, it is really close, but the one I have it darker, like a black color. For those who think it is a bear look at the difference: and the thing in my video was standing very slim, it had 4 flex lines in its arms because it stretched the arm where a human can't bend.

We Are One Filipino
We Are One Filipino
Who are you? Every generation has to answer this question for itself, and ours is no exception. Self-realization for some is born out of war, as it was for our grandparents; for others, it takes place out of cultural and economic shifts, as it was for our parents. How will it happen for ours? We live in an age of extraordinary change on every level -- technological, political, cultural, and economic. As a consequence, our generation uniquely struggles with that perennial question. Every morning, we wake up to a Filipino face; every night, we think of our Filipino family; and throughout the day in between, we struggle with the question of who we are in this world but somehow fail to answer it to our own satisfaction. This has been our experience as Filipinos in every state of life - man or woman, young or old, rich or poor -- but the time for change has come.
We believe that the fundamental reason that we struggle to answer this question is that we, as a generation, have yet to claim ownership and responsibility for defining what it means to be Filipino for ourselves. We have, in large part, surrendered this responsibility to other people, whether they are in the media or in show business, in government or in a slum, on a bus taking tourists hostage or elsewhere. However, it is not their responsibility, it is ours. And it is with boldness that we make this declaration of independence to take as our own the duty to redefine Filipino.
We are a movement, not an organization. No one authoritative group sets our direction; no one person charts our course. We are united in purpose but free to express it in our own ways, wherever we are, whenever we want. Every one who claims it has equal ownership of its direction. Through our own creative excellence and our active participation in the life of the global Filipino family, we will take it upon ourselves to show through our own lives the excellence of the Filipino.
We are only one generation removed from a very different life. We trace our roots to another country, another place, where because of circumstances outside our own control, our parents or grandparents felt it necessary to come to America so that we would have a greater opportunity to become whomever God meant us to become. We are the fruits of our parents' labor and the legacy of their love. Beneath their shadow and surrounded by rapid change, how can we measure up? The time has come to let our light shine.
Now you must ask yourself: Do you believe that being Filipino is merely a label to accept or deny, or do you believe that being Filipino is being the best at who we are and sharing that with our communities and our world? If you believe the latter, then join the chorus of voices whose sounds will forge a new path for our people and a greater destiny than we could have ever imagined. This is the cause of our generation.
We are the new generation. We are One Filipino.

Mom Still Unsure of What Creature Was in Her Driveway
The mom whose security camera captured creepy footage of what appears to be Dobby the house elf from the Harry Potter series told Inside Edition she's still freaked out by the video. The footage has social media in overdrive speculating what the creature is. Mom Vivian Gomez told Inside Edition that she's not sure what it is. Asked whether it could be her 9-year-old son Bobby, Gomez replied, I wouldn't let him out at dark by himself.

language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding

SUMMARY
=======
The Mojave Desert ( mo-HAH-vee) is an arid rain-shadow desert and the driest desert in North America. It is in the southwestern United States, primarily within southeastern California and southern Nevada, and it occupies 47,877 sq mi (124,000 km2). Very small areas also extend into Utah and Arizona. Its boundaries are generally noted by the presence of Joshua trees, which are native only to the Mojave Desert and are considered an indicator species, and it is believed to support an additional 1,750 to 2,000 species of plants. The central part of the desert is sparsely populated, while its peripheries support large communities such as Las Vegas, Barstow, Lancaster, Palmdale, Victorville, and St. George.
The Mojave Desert is bordered by the Great Basin Desert to its north and the Sonoran Desert to its south and east. Topographical boundaries include the Tehachapi Mountains to the west, and the San Gabriel Mountains and San Bernardino Mountains to the south. The mountain boundaries are distinct because they are outlined by the two largest faults in California – the San Andreas and Garlock faults. The Mojave Desert displays typical basin and range topography. Higher elevations above 2,000 ft (610 m)) in the Mojave are commonly referred to as the High Desert; however, Death Valley is the lowest elevation in North America at 280 ft (85 m) below sea level and is one of the Mojave Desert's more notorious places. The Mojave Desert occupies less than 50,000 sq mi (130,000 km2), making it the smallest of the North American deserts. The Mojave Desert is often referred to as the high desert, in contrast to the low desert, the Sonoran Desert to the south. However, the Mojave Desert is generally lower than the Great Basin Desert to the north. The spelling Mojave originates from the Spanish language while the spelling Mohave comes from modern English. Both are used today, although the Mojave Tribal Nation officially uses the spelling Mojave; the word is a shortened form of Hamakhaave, their endonym in their native language, which means 'beside the water'.
