Darabad (Persian: دارآباد) is a quarter in north-eastern Tehran, the capital city of Iran.
Dar-Abad دارآباد is a former village and a summit on the slopes of the Alborz mountain range رشته كوه البرز to the northeast of Tehran, which has become part of the Greater Tehran area as a result of rapid expansion of the Tehran Metropolis.
Many people use Darabad as the starting point for hiking the southern slopes of Alborz, especially in the summer.
Darabad today is home to Iran's most famous museums for natural history, the Nature and Wildlife Museum of Iran.
It is also the location of the Mahak hospital for children with cancer.

The Sardasht Dam is an embankment dam currently under construction on the Little Zab 13 km (8 mi) southeast of Sardasht in the Iranian province of West Azerbaijan.
Reconnaissance studies for the dam were completed in 1999 by Moshanir Consulting Engineers Company. When complete, it will be a 116 m (381 ft) tall and 275 m (902 ft) long rock-fill earth core dam.
It will support a hydroelectric power station with an installed capacity of 150 MW and expected annual generation of 482 GWh. The construction contract for the dam was awarded in 2009.
Official construction on the dam began in 2011. The river diversion tunnels were complete in November 2012 in a ceremony attended by Iran's Ministry of Energy Majid Namjoo. The dam began to impound its reservoir on 22 June 2017.

Shalmash Waterfalls
Shalmash Falls is a cluster of three waterfalls situated on the outskirts of the City of Sardasht in Rojhalat Kurdistan. Shalmash falls can be easily viewed from stairs built for visitors to these waterfalls which attracts thousands of visitors every year. The falls are about 10 meters high. In addition to being a scenic site, their environs are used for recreation, including swimming. These falls are along a branch of the Little Zab River.
آبشار شلماش سردشت در یک روز توریستی
آبشار شلماش از مهم‌ترین آبشارهایی است که در سطح استان آذربایجان غربی و در شهر سردشت جاری است. آبشار شلماش با دره‌ای سرسبز در کنار جنگل‌های پراکنده، در نزدیکی شهر سردشت واقع شده و از شاخه‌های رودخانه زاب کوچک محسوب می‌شود.
این آبشار که در واقع از سه آبشار تشکیل شده هم‌اکنون به صورت منطقه‌ای تفریحی درآمده که همه ساله هزاران نفر از مناطق مختلف برای دیدن آن عازم سردشت می‌شوند. سه آبشار به ترتیب و پشت سر هم قرار گرفته‌اند که اولین آن‌ها در نزدیکی محل توقف و پارکینگ قرار گرفته‌است. برای دیدن دو آبشار بعدی باید مسافتی را پایین رفته و وارد دره‌ای عمیق شوید. در حال حاضر با احداث پله و حصارهایی بالا و پایین رفتن از دره راحت‌تر و کم خطر تر شده‌است.
در فصل بهار این آبشار پر آبترین روزهای خود را می‌گذراند. آب و هوای منطقه تا اواسط اردیبهشت هم تقریبا معتدل است و در این فصل و فصل پاییز می‌تواند موقع مناسبی برای سفر به این منطقه باشد و زیبایی های بینظیری را دید.
مسیر سردشت به آبشار شلماش مسیر زیبا و پر درختی است. جاده مذکور آسفالت و مناسب بوده و از داخل شهر تا آبشار مدت 20دقیقه می‌باشد.
