SNIEC offers 17 column-free, ground-level exhibition halls, covering 200,000 sqm of indoor space and 100000 sqm of outdoor space. Shanghai of the Future (Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center / 上海城市规划展示馆)
Shanghai of the Future as shown on a 360° screen at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center / 上海城市规划展示馆 - a six-storey building, with two basement levels, which displays Shanghai's urban planning and development. The focus of the exhibit is a large scale model of the entirety of urban Shanghai, showing existing buildings and approved future buildings. Other exhibits relate to Shanghai's history and planned development, including smaller scaled models focussing on particular areas of interest such as the Bund. The Exhibition Center also has space for temporary exhibitions with a wide range of subject matter.
The Exhibition Center was built as part of the re-development of parkland at the edge of People's Park and around People's Square in the 1990s and 2000s. The Park and Square together occupy what was once the Shanghai racecourse, and today still make up one of the largest open spaces in central Shanghai.
The building was designed by architect Ling Benli of the East China Architecture Design & Research Institute (ECADI), as a harmonious balance to the Grand Theatre, another contemporary building at the other end of People's Square. The Exhibition Center is 43 metres (141 ft) high, has a white aluminium panel cladding and a symbolic membrane structure roof.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is a huge scale model of the city of Shanghai, showing all existing and approved buildings. Visitors can view the model from alongside or ascend to a gallery running around it for views from above.
The model is intended to represent the entire city, including all planned developments. However, a few support pillars penetrate the scale model. This means certain areas are missing from the model, and some views of the model are obscured by the columns.
Alongside the model is a small theatre room housing a 360° screen. The room plays a video giving the impression the viewer is flying through the Shanghai of the future, viewing notable locations including some of the Shanghai Expo 2010 pavilions.

The China International Import Expo is an important action by the Chinese government to further open up the domestic market and optimize the country's trade structure with the rest of the world.

The first day in Shanghai we visited the Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan) where it's possible to find a nice collection of pottery, paintings, costumes, bronze, jade and furniture.
After that we walked by People's Square (Renmin Guang Chang) to reach the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. There are many floors dedicated to the history, transportation, subway, development, buldings, there's a VR 360 tour and a scale model of Shanghai.
Then we walked down Nanjing Lu (Nanjing Road), a nice street with a lot of shopping and crowds.
Eventually we reached the nice area of Xintiandi full of restaurants where it was held the Shanghai Fashion Week 2017.

Shanghai Trip 2019, China International Import Expo
This is my trip last year on 2018 to Shanghai with Mr Junaidi and Khairul. We moved around the city, took a Metro ride to the National Convention & Exhibition Center for China International Import Expo. On the afternoon, we went to Starbuck The Starbucks Reserve Roastery. It is the largest Starbucks in the world with a total square-footage of 30,000 square feet. The Roastery features in-house roasting, three coffee bars, an augmented reality experience designed by Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, and a special Teavana tea bar.
China International Import Expo is a 6-day event being held from 5th November to 10th November 2018 at the National Convention & Exhibition Center in Shanghai, China. This event gathers government officials, business communities, exhibitors and professional purchasers across the world and provides them new channels for countries and regions to do business, strengthen cooperation and promote common prosperity of the world economy and trade.
