勿洞市孔子学院于2006年12月28日揭牌成立，由泰国勿洞市市政局和中国重庆大学合作共建。学院现有汉语教师和志愿者11名，拥有建筑面积1672 m²、设施齐全的独立教学办公大楼，内设汉语图书资料室、电脑室、多媒体教室、办公室及多功能活动大厅等。
勿洞市孔子学院是泰国唯一一所由大学与市政府合作建立的孔子学院。学院理事长由热心华文教育的勿洞市华裔市长容志江先生亲自担任。
勿洞市孔子学院面向社会开展汉语教学，举办了8期汉语培训班，学员1461人；为也拉师范大学中文系开设30门汉语课程，选送也拉皇家师范大学中文系36名毕业生赴重庆大学交流学习，选送46名孔子学院优秀学员赴重庆大学短期培训，选送26名当地学生赴华攻读硕士、学士或进修；举办大、中、小学汉语教师培训；组织汉语水平考试；举办文化讲座、武术培训、图片展、才艺大赛、知识竞赛等，还成立了“勿洞市孔子学院小燕子艺术团”。由于毗邻马来西亚的独特地理优势，勿洞市孔子学院受到了泰马边境周边地区的关注，目前已有泰国、马来西亚数十家代表团前来参观访问并洽谈合作，据不完全统计，来访者多达3000余人。
今后，勿洞市孔子学院将以建成泰国最具特色的国际化汉语教学与中国文化推广基地为目标，立足泰南，辐射泰马，走向世界。
สถาบันขงจื๊อเทศบาลเมืองเบตงถูกก่อตั้งขึ้นอย่างเป็นทางการวันที่ 28 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2549 จากความร่วมมือระหว่างเทศบาลเมืองเบตงและมหาวิทยาลัยฉงชิ่ง ปัจจุบันมีครูภาษาจีนและอาสาสมัครชาวจีนจำนวน 11 คน มีพื้นที่โดยรวม 1672 ตารางเมตร โครงสร้างเป็นอาคารสูงสำหรับใช้สอนและทำงาน ภายในมีห้องสมุด ห้องคอมพิวเตอร์ ห้องมัลติมีเดีย ห้องทำงานและห้องมัลติฟังชั่นสำหรับทำกิจกรรมที่หลากหลาย เป็นต้น
เป็นสถาบันขงจื๊อแห่งเดียวที่ได้รับความร่วมมือให้จัดตั้งขึ้นระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำของจีนกับเทศบาลไทย โดยมีคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนและเป็นนายกเทศมนตรีเมือบเบตงขณะนั้นรับหน้าที่เป็นผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายไทยเป็นคนแรก คือ ดาโต๊ะ ดร.คุณวุฒิ มงคลประจักษ์
สถาบันขงจื๊อเทศบาลเมืองเบตงส่งเสริมการเรียนการสอนสู่สังคม โดยจัดอบรมภาษาจีน 8 เทอม มีจำนวนนักเรียน 1461 คน จัดหลักสูตรภาษาจีนให้กับคณะศิลปศาสตร์ภาษาจีนมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฎยะลา 30 หลักสูตร ส่งนักศึกษาเอกภษาจีนที่สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีไปศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยน ณ ประเทศจีน 36 คน ส่งนักเรียนเรียนดีของสถาบันขงจื๊อฯไปอบรมภาษาจีนระยะสั้น ณ มหาวิทยาลัยฉงชิ่งจำนวน 46 คน ส่งนักเรียนในเบตงจำนวน 26 คนไปศึกษาต่อระดับปริญญาตรี ปริญญาโท หรือเรียนภาษาจีน จัดอบรมครูภาษาจีนให้กับโรงเรียนระดับประถม มัธยม และอุดมศึกษา เป็นศูนย์สอบวัดระดับความรู้ภาษาจีน จัดสัมมนาวัฒนธรรมจีน อบรมกังฟู นิทรรศการภาพ การแข่งขันความสามารถพิเศษจีนและการแข่งขันความรู้ภาษาจีน และยังมีการก่อตั้งคณะนักร้องประสานเสียง “Xiao yanzi”สถาบันขงจื๊อเมืองเบตงขึ้นอีกด้วย จากข้อดีที่เบตงมีเขตติดต่อกับประเทศมาเลเซีย ทำให้สถาบันขงจื๊อเมืองเบตงได้รับความสนใจมากเป็นขึ้น บ่อยครั้งที่มีหน่วยงานหรือคณะบุคคลจากประเทศไทย มาเลเซีย และอื่นๆ เข้ามาเยี่ยมชมสถาบันของเรา รวมแล้วกว่า 3000 คน
