Shannonville Motorsport Park is a motorsport road course circuit in Canada. It is located 15 km east of Belleville, Ontario, roughly midway between Toronto and Montreal, Quebec, near Highway 401 and along the former Provincial Highway 2. It has many configurations, and its tight layout with lots of run-off space makes it a very good venue for race testing. Many race teams from Toronto and Montreal test at Shannonville in preparation for events held on street circuits, as the Shannonville raceway shares a lot of the same characteristics. The raceway first started off as a dirt oval, with bedrock for a front straight. Much later, the 1.8 km Nelson circuit was built, named after the late John Nelson, owner of the circuit at the time. From there, the 2.23 km Fabi circuit was built north of the Nelson, and the two were linked to form the 4.03 km, 14-corner Long Track. The Fabi circuit was named after Bertrand Fabi, a young Canadian driver who died while testing a Formula 3 car in England. The Fabi circuit has a long backstraight that now doubles as a drag strip. A link was then made after the first corner on the Nelson circuit to the seventh corner of the Long Circuit, creating the 2.47 km Pro Circuit layout. Currently, the Canadian Touring Car Championship makes an annual visit to the facility, as well as auto-racing body CASC . Drag racing is also heavily featured there.

Shannonville Fast Riding School June 2018

Few clips from Phase 1 of the Fast Riding School @ the Shannonville Motorsport Park. Apologies for the crappy go pro angle I failed to mount it properly to my helmet. I was on a 2018 GSXR 600 (#15). This was my first time riding track and I am already having withdrawal symptoms because it was such a blast. The course is well organized and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to improve on their riding techniques.

Shannonville Motorsports Park - Ontario Time Attack Event #5+6 - Aug 26-27, 2017

Here's my compilation of my best runs at Ontario Time Attack's ( event #5 and #6 at the venerable Shannonville Motorsports Park in both the Pro and Long Track configurations.

Car is a stock 2004 Honda S2000 running on Hankook Ventus RS4s with Project Mu Club Racer brake pads on a custom alignment (on original OEM hardware).

Many thanks to all the folks at Pinnacle Advanced Driving Academy (pinnacledriving.com) who have helped me get to where I am today both as a person and a driver. I couldn't have done this much growth without them!

Shannonville Motorsport Park in a Porsche 997 GT3 (1:55.7 lap time)

I finally got the chance to try out some proper racing tires. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with the temps hovering at just above freezing and a killer wind chill. Even with the low temps, the tires still produced good cornering g'forces, so the lap times came down quite a bit from the last time (on Toyos, I ran 2:04).

There's still a ton of time out there once I get more confidence with this combination. I need a warm day to get the tires sticky; there was such a huge differential between cold and warm with the tire's performance today. I probably won't get the chance to to run again until next spring; at least the weather will be warmer.

Hello People of The Interweb, it is I, Bea Kassandra.

So recently, my whole family went to Shannonville Motorsport Park and it was probably one of the best days of the year for me. It was such a fun day that was filled with love, joy, and laughter. I wasn't going to vlog but, my little brother, Alfonzo or MiniDriver1 as he likes to be called, requested that I do. So like any responsible adult would do, I gave the little kid the camera and let him film whatever he wanted. He filmed most of the shots in this vlog which was pretty cool.
