The Shibnibas (Abode Of Lord Shiva) Village Is Just 30 Minutes Distance In A Van Rickshaw From Majhdia Railway Station Of Nadia, Where Raj Rajeswar Shib’s Mandir Is Situated. It Is One Of The Oldest Temples Of This Area, Dated More Than 250 Years Ago. The Village Is Sanctified By The River Ichhamati, Churni And The Temples Of Lord Raj Rajeswar And Rama-Sita.
The Main Attraction Of The Lingam Is That, It Is The Largest Shiva Lingam Of Eastern India. The Main Temple Of The Village Is That Of Lord Raj Rajeswar‘S Temple. It Is A Huge Black ‘Kashti - Pathar’ Shiva Lingam Of Nearly 12 Ft Height. In Order To Pour Water Or Milk On The Lingam, One Has To Ascend A Stair Case Of Four Stairs, On A Flat Platform, Which Is Behind The Lingam To Perform The Task Of Pouring And Has To Descend The Other Side Of The Stair Case. In Front Of The Lingam; There Are Multiples Of Tridents Soaked With ‘Sindoor’. 108 Shiva Temples Were Built By Raja Krishna Chandra. Only Two Of Them Are Surviving. The Main Temple Was Built In 1754 And Is Situated On The Banks Of Ichhamati River. The Temple Is Of Bengal’s Famous ‘Conical Shaped’ (Single-Roofed) Design, With A ‘Verandah’ All Around It. The 120ft High Temple Has Five Kalashas On Top Of The Temple. It Represents The Roots Of The Inverted Tree Concept Found In The Upanishads. Kalasha As Per Puranas Is One Of The Fourteen Precious Gems That Came Out Of The Milky Ocean When It Was Churned (Samudra Manthan). The Tranquility Prevails All Around. The Temple Is On A Vast Area Of Vacant Land With Two More Old Temples And A Trustee Office Nearby. It Has Been Completely Reconstructed And Nothing Is To Be Found Of Its Original 250-Years-Old Architecture. The Bright Red Colour Of The Huge Temple Is In Sway With The Lustrous Lingam Inside.

Kanchipuram - India's finest architecture, history and culture come together
The Kanchipuram District is situated on the north-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu, adjacent to the Bay of Bengal. It was the capital of the Pallava dynasty during 6th through to the 8th century A.D., when the Pallavas created the great stone monuments of Mahabalipuram. It is also a sacred destination. The ancient town had a thousand temples, but only one hundred and twenty six of these can be found today, including the few located on the outskirts. Kailasanathar Temple and Sri Ekambareswarar Temple are among the few standing today.
The Kailasanathar temple is the oldest structure in Kanchipuram. It is a Hindu temple in the Dravidian architectural style. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and has great historical importance. Kailasnathar Temple was built by the Pallava Dynasty during the first quarter of the eighth century. The compound contains a large number of carvings, including many half-animal deities which were popular during the early Dravidian architectural period. The structure contains 58 small shrines dedicated to various forms of Shiva. There innumerable carvings of Pallva art inside the temple, of which the Taandava dance of Shiva and the Narsimha avatar of Lord Vishnu are a pleasure to behold. The architecture of this temple resembles the shore temple at
Another monument in the list of Pallava architecture in Kanchipuram is Sri Ekambareswarar Temple. The temple is the largest in Kanchipuram and is located in the northern part of the town. It is also known as Ekambaranathar Temple. The temple ‘gopuram’ or gateway tower is 59m high, making it one of the tallest gopurams in India. There is a mango tree in the temple complex which is believed to be 3000 years to 3500 years old. The tree is the sthala vruksham of this temple and is said to bear fruit of four different flavours each season, representing the four Vedas or holy books of Hinduism.
Kanchipuram is one of the seven sacred cities of India and is also famous for its high quality hand-woven silk fabrics and saris, begetting it the title of Silk City. Saris made in Kachipuram are popularly known Kanjeevaram Saris. Kanjeevaram saris range thousands of rupees with the price going up to lakhs of rupees, depending on the weave as well as the amount of zari or silver thread used in the weave. Kanchipuram, the city of silk is not only rich in architectural heritage but its heritage still lives on in the weave of it sarees.

Voice of Rabindranath Tagore | Tobu Mone Rekho | Rabindra Sangeet Album
Rabindra Sangeet or Rabindranath Tagore Songs are a heritage and undoubtedly the king pillar of Bengali Culture. This particular collection of Tagore Songs is precious and super rare because this is one of the very few recordings that contains the voice of the great poet himself. In fact Hindusthan Records was one of the first company that recorded Tagore's singing. The legendary C.C. Saha, founder of Hindusthan Records went to Germany and learnt the art of Sound Recordings. It was in Germany itself where a historic meeting took place which sowed the seed for “Hindusthan Records”. In Heidelberg Chandi Babu met Rabindranath Tagore who was there at that point of time. In this meeting Chandi Babu expressed his desire to open a swadeshi recording company once he went back to Calcutta. He also requested Gurudev to be a part of the company and that he would like to record Tagore’s songs sung by the poet himself. Rabindranath Tagore happily obliged and gave his consent. The first Record of Hindusthan Records was this recording of Rabindranath Tagore's voice.
This compilation, “The Voice Of Rabindranath Tagore” is a rare and precious Rabindra Sangeet collection that has Songs sung by Tagore himself. There are not many such recordings and that is precisely what makes this compilation a super rare one. This compilation has some of the most popular and famous Rabindra Sangeets such as Hriday Amar Nache Re and Tabu Mone Rekho. The songs sung by the maestro himself brings a wave of nostalgia that is bound to sway any listeners. Especially for Tagore Song enthusiasts this rare and precious collection is a treat.
