SHARM EL SHEIKH IN 3 DAYS! | VLOG | EGYPT
EXPAND FOR MORE :)
Sharm El Sheikh is a city well known amongst divers. Being situated near the Red Sea, it provides some of the most stunning underwater scenery and warm water, making this an ideal place to dive or snorkel.
Sharm is located in the Sinai Governorate, which is situated in the North East of Egypt approximately 5-6 hours away from Cairo.
Due to its close proximity to the boarders of Jordan and Israel, security in the region is heightened.
As a result, there are a lot more security checkpoints on the roads which can increase your travel time significantly.
From my experience by 5 hours as we were at one particular checkpoint for 4 hours! But don't let that deter you, it really is worth it once you arrive!
_______________
How to get there?
There are 2 local bus companies which are reliable, easy to use and booking is accessible online.
Having used both, from my experience I prefer travelling with GoBus as the seats are more comfortable.
You could also fly into Sharm EL Sheikh which of course is much more convenient. There are two internal airlines that operate flights there.

The hotel I stayed in:
I would recommend this hotel IF you aren't planning on spending much time in it, it is not a resort. The location was great and the hotel itself was nice, however the room service honestly just sucked!

TURN YOUR EGYPT TRIP INTO A PARTY | 8 days in Sharm El Sheikh & Cairo
Ever wonder how would it be to go to Africa and even celebrate Christmas in Egypt? Pyramids, ancient Egypt, Sahara desert and more? If you have questions in your mind and if it is your FIRST TIME in Africa (LIKE ME) let's make it clear on some points.
-------------------
| SHARM EL SHEIKH |
In December; I attended the World Youth Forum and had a chance to spend 8 days in Egypt. The World Youth Forum takes place in Sharm El Sheikh. At that time I was also wondering that Is it safe to go to Egypt. Surrounded by a crystal-clear, deep-blue sea and a breath-taking desert landscape, Sharm El Sheikh has developed into one of the most popular holiday destinations in Egypt. And also it is one of the most popular diving sites so it is totally safe to go to Sharm El Sheikh. Despite the other cities in Egypt; Sharm is more isolated from the Egyptian culture.
If you are looking for nightlife; there are plenty of things you can go at nights in Sharm. Alcohol is allowed and can be found easily. But the more common thing is Shisha to Egyptians.
-------------------
| CAIRO |
We have bought a tour from Sharm to Cairo. It takes around 9 hours to get there by bus. There are a lot of security control points while you are on the road, it might be bothering but it worths it. Despite Sharm, I would not suggest solo travel in Cairo. It's good to have a friend and it would be better to have someone speaks Arabic; because most of the people you will come across don't know English and you can have problems with both negotiation and communication.
We saw a lot of things that we were familiar; Tutankhamun 's great mask, mummy, Sahara Desert and also even had a chance to explore Pyramids of Giza.

Sharm el-Sheikh desperate to keep its foreign tourists
The Russian and British evacuation order for their citizens in Sharm el-Sheikh is staggering for the Egyptian government.
Pouring cold water on foreign reports that a bomb caused last week's airliner disaster, Cairo insists that any such conclusion is premature.
Sharm el-Sheikh, fondly dubbed one of Egyptian tourism's crown jewels, is the country's number one destination for Russians and Britons.
Many livelihoods depend on them. Russians make up around one third of all tourists to Egypt.

Sharm El Sheikh Nightlife, Egypt
Famous for glistening Red Sea waters, breathtaking views of Mount Sinai and incredible sand dunes, Sharm el Sheikh holidays offer a vibrant holiday atmosphere, luxurious hotels, restaurants and fantastic facilities and things to do, with the added excitement of desert adventure.
If you are looking for good nightlife in Egypt, Sharm el Sheikh is the resort to choose, as it is the liveliest area of Egypt with popular pubs, clubs, casinos, bars and restaurants.
If you're not on a tight budget and want a night to remember, Pacha is one of the largest and most famous nightclubs in Sharm El Sheikh. Being the first Pacha club in Africa and the Middle East, the club has seen sets from an enviable range of top DJ's including Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Smokin' Joe and John Kelly. You can also climb on-board the Pacha boat to party whilst sailing across the Red Sea. The boat is licensed for just 20 people and can be booked as a private charter or by individuals. Another favourite for British tourists is the Hard Rock Cafe, which is great for food and drinks like cocktails, changing from a restaurant in the day to a busy bar and dance floor after midnight.

How To and How Not To Travel Across Egypt || Cairo to Sharm El Sheikh
One thing that we have some major experience in is how to move about from place to place! Although, sometimes travel doesn’t always go the easiest way…
In this video we will be going over travel safety in Egypt and what your travel transportations options are!
From our time in Egypt we can honestly say that we never came across any dangerous situations or felt unsafe. On our bus ride from Cairo to Sharm El Sheikh we were stopped frequently at police check points, searched and verified with our passports. This did not scare us as much as it helped us to believe we were in an area that was doing its part to keep it safe. Egypt is culture rich country with a lot to offer and if you’re a history buff, this is the place for you! Many times were we welcomed by the locals and were told they were glad we were there.
