On 10 September 2018, I travelled to Taicang in China.

After a two hour drive, I arrived at the scenic spot of Shaxi ancient town in Taicang. Shaxi ancient town has formed a village in the Tang Dynasty. In the Yuan Dynasty, it moved from tusong to the west, forming a market. In the Ming Dynasty, it became an important commercial and trade town. In the Qing Dynasty, modern industry started and new education was carried out. Shaxi showed a new atmosphere of pioneering spirit. Qipu River, built in Song Dynasty, runs through the whole town, with wide river channel and islands in the river, which is a major feature of Jiangnan ancient town. The ancient houses on both sides of the river are scattered, telling about the prosperity of Commerce and trade in Shaxi in the past. Quiet and simple is my impression of Shaxi. In fact, the drive from Shanghai to Shaxi is only 30 or 40 minutes. It's very close. She's so quiet in front of me. The whole street is not long, and it will never take long from beginning to end, but you must sit on the riverside seat of Shaxi for a while to feel the difference between her and other commercial ancient towns. Bottle cat is our choice~

I really believe that it was a great experience for me to travel to Taicang in China for the first time.
